Will buy, but I'll probably be wiping other things with that Kleenex.

The absence of evidence isn't the evidence of absence.

That doesn't apply here? We have potential evidence in the lanyard. We also have confirmation that Donkey Kong will appear in a few games this year. It could just be showing those off, it could mean there's a new game starring him to be announced. We won't know until after the Direct.

My Predictions:

Super Yoshi Universe
The Legend of Yoshi: Kamek's Mask
F-Yoshi
Yoshiblade 2
Super Yoshi Brothers
Yoshi Kong Returns 2

Am I missing anything?

I know it's unlikely, but didn't Camelot say that they wanted to make a new 3D Donkey Kong game?

I'm getting myself too hyped now...

At most, I think, there'll be a new Kirby game. They're basically covered until early next year. Maybe Tomodachi Collection or Band Brothers will be announced for the West.

Otherwise:

1. Mario Golf
2. Mario & Luigi RPG 4
3. Bravely Default
4. Pokemon XY
5. Zelda: Link to the Past 2
6. Mario Party 3DS
7. Sonic Lost World
8. Yoshi's Island 3DS

This would be disappointing to me. The only one I'm really interested in on that list is Yoshi's Island 3DS.

I'm sure my gaming time will be taken up with the deluge of Wii U titles, but for when I'm traveling, I hope there's at least one other 3DS title coming this year that I'd like. Kirby, Advance Wars, Treasure's game...

Yoshi Paint

You can draw anything you want but all the templates or borders are outlines of Yoshi and the only color available is green.

Supports voicechat through a modifier that makes everyone sound like Yoshi.

Looking at AniHawk's list, I hope I get to see at the very least more from these:

3ds: Very curious if they break out anything new.
Link to the Past 2
Sonic Lost World for either

wii u:
wonderful 101
wind waker hd
mario 3d u
monolthsoft's x
bayonetta 2
fe x smt

And the more release dates the better. :)

Would still love a tease of Wii U Zelda (in the style of Wii U teaser demo as we talked about earlier).

Looking forward to any surprises too.

guys...
guys...
I can't wait anymore

WAIT A FUCKING SECOND I JUST REALIZED I WENT TO LOS ANGELES TODAY AND E3 IS AT LOS ANGELES I SHOULD HAVE LEFT THE FUCKING CAR AND ESCAPED AND THEN GO TO E3 SHIT FUCK SHIT FUCK

Isn't the Retro game something "everyone wants them to do"??

Now there is Donkey Kong on the lanyards right next to HD Wind Waker Link, Mario and Pikmin.

While I personally think it may be too early for Donkey Kong Country Returns 2, I'm definitely one of those who can't wait for it to happen. I mean, it's Donkey Kong Country, bitches!! (DKCR is such a masterpiece. I literally thought "woah, this is genius" when I played it)

In the past I can remember some leaks of games from new domain names (some Nintendo).

So today being more excited then ever for the upcoming E3 event, I tried some ideas I had:
SuperMarioKingdom.com, StarFoxUniverse.com, KirbyAirDash.com, etc...

The one that did work was: SuperMarioAdventure.com, it redirects to the mario.Nintendo.com page. I researched on whois.net and found the domain (owned by Nintendo America) was made in 2010, the year Super Mario Galaxy 2 was released, this must mean they were brainstorming or already starting development for the new game after this one was released.

Anyone found any other domains owned by Nintendo?

Apparently, Retro never said that. It was a fake rumor.

Hopefully I can get some sleep before the bombs start dropping tomorrow. Only 9 hours to go!

Also just as an FYI, the IRC is going to be open for all the conferences, so come by there if you want (or if GAF goes down :P). If you still haven't gotten a link and want one, message me and I'll try to get back to you in about 6-7 hours.

Get Hype!

God, Paul Gale really needs a kick in the face for that made up rumor. Nobody at Retro ever said they were making a game everybody wanted them to do.

On the other hand, we've got quite a lot of legitimate reasons to expect they aren't doing a sequel.

I'm going to sleep through Sony's.

Please understand, Kaz.

I can help you with that if you're ok with it. I'm not sleepy yet. :p

Pretty sure there won't be too many surprises. There isn't much... Room for them, really. Even though we know next to nothing about them, we're already aware of the existance of 3D Mario, Mario Kart, Smash Bros., SMTxFE, Bayo2, Yarn Yoshi, Wind Waker HD, Wii U Party, X...

The only surprise I'm pretty much sure we're getting is Retro's new game. At least I pray to Buddha it's revealed...

Then again 3D Mario *will* be a surprise, because there's so many ways it could go, and we don't know anything about it. Could be Galaxy 3, Sunshine 2, SM128, or something completely new.

...And we also don't know a thing about Smash Bros., so that'll be a huge surprise too, probably maybe. And... You could count Mario Kart, because with all the Sega rumors, I'm starting to believe this won't be the Mario Kart we're used to.

If nothing else, I want to know what the hell SMTxFE is going to be like. Then they can throw a trailer for the rest, a couple of release dates here and there, and I'd be a happy camper.

Also X. I need X in my life.

Maybe they will have a few surprises after the Direct throughout the week.

(Yeah! button)
I'd be ok with this.

They lose E3 if they're wasting Retro on it, IMO.

Well, maybe not, but they'd need to wow me with other stuff.

Whaat? Retro is the only studio that can do that series justice. It took forever after RARE left to find a good DKC studio. Would be sweet if et are making 2 games but I don't know if that's feasible.

Ah, ok, thanks for pointing that out. That said, I think I still can wait a little longer until my DKCR2 comes out. But it shouldn't take too long, because they also have to make DKCR3, you know... ^^

The only surprises I can see are new collabs with 3rd parties, a surprise HAL game, new departments/studios (those unnamed subsidiaries), Tokyo EAD 1/2 (whoever isn't working on Mario) having a game.

Or Imamura working on a Star Fox game from EAD5 because it's been 2 years since he did anything and the Animal Crossing woman said so!

None of this is particularly likely, though.

Jungle Beat was better than Returns, and even if it wasn't, teams within Nintendo could have done that game justice - they just didn't.

Nintendo's first party software where the Wii was concerned was extremely one-note. They need more variety. SMTXFE, X and Bayonetta 2 are good starts - but I have a hard time getting too hype because I didn't like Bayonetta. No 2D platformers from your best western studio please.

Guys, what if the silhouettes aren't just clues to each game, but they're all in the one game? New Smash Bros. roster? I'm clearly a genius.
