I have been wondering who's working on what at Nintendo and I'm sure someone has put together something similar, but this solidifies that there is a fair share of mystery surrounding what some of the internal teams are working on. I know I'm missing a bit, so feel free to add on.

  • Nintendo EAD Comprehensive Development Group – ?
  • Nintendo EAD Group No. 1 – Mario Kart U
  • Nintendo EAD Group No. 2 – Known for Animal Crossing series, not sure what is in development now.
  • Nintendo EAD Group No. 3 – The Legend of Zelda series (Currently has WWHD, LttP2 and Zelda U in development)

Most of the studios you listed as 2nd party are actually 1st party (owned by Nintendo). HAL is not 1st party.

2nd party is a bullshit term. Don't use it.
 
Still can't believe that in fewer than 24 precious hours, we will see Mario, Smash Bros., and who knows what else in high definition next generation graphics.

Other than Monolith and Retro not being second party (they are first party) I would mostly agree with that list.

Matt runs the entire App Store front page. He is in charge of picking what apps/games are showcased, what apps/games get the best of year rewards etc. He is likely making far more than anyone at IGN ever made I'd imagine.
