This thread. I can't take it anymore.

D:

I can't believe in four days we'll see a new 3D Mario game.

I'm totally looking forward to it.

Would also like an X and new Zelda teaser (I still like the art style of that little demo thing from when they were showing off the Wii U for the first time).

You guys, I can't tell you how excited I am! I just keep thinking about it all day. Like, do I even play video games anymore? I think I just come to NeoGAF and get excited about ones that probably don't exist instead.

They. are. dumb. If they don't go with that for zelda wiiu. The market for the relatively realistic zeldas is much larger than that for a cartoony one.

I think it affects more the emphasis on puzzles rather than graphics. The less puzzles, hand holding and more adventure, combat the larger the market

Ready to hype

this is freaking awesome by the way

They stated earlier that they wanted to stick with the Skyward Sword art style in previous interviews, and that's all well and good because I do like it, but... that's just not a great idea from a marketing perspective. I could be wrong, but Twilight Princess is one of, if not the all-time best selling Zelda game as of now, is it not? People went berserk over that game based on its visual style alone, myself included. Nintendo would be crazy not to use it, or something similar, for the next game.

They really need to push the Wii U hardware with something that looks both dark and whimsical, offer something that both Nintendo fans and "hardcore" gamers can enjoy. The TP art style is constantly lauded for being too "grimdark", but it really isn't. It's heavily stylized while simultaneously being detailed with some Tolkien inspiration as well, but it's not dark. Look at the stitches on Link's tunic and hat, the shape of the geometry within the room, everything has all kinds of crazy, exaggerated proportions to it. Not realistic in the least. Watching the E3 2011 trailer, that would be the perfect look for the next game.

Just found out that the closest Best Buy that's doing the E3 demos in my area is in Doral, which is about an hour drive. Neat. :3

I wanna be on the hype ship!!

My goodness, I'm feeling it, I'm really feeling it... They hype, too much, are you feeling it?

every other E3 thread is DOOM.. Not here.. it all Airship and HYYYPEEE!!

<3 Nintendo

There may have been bumps on the road, but when it comes to games, I always keep coming back for Nintendo. I fell in love this gen with games like Dead Space and Uncharted, but then EA ruined DS for me, and Uncharted 3 didn't live up to what I expected after UC2. I absolutely adored the first Resistance, but the first game was the only one I really enjoyed. The rest became generic shooters.

Even after that, I still love Mario (3D ones) and Zelda games. I also enjoyed Other M, so maybe I'm strange. There's no hype like Nintendo hype, and I'm a happy gamer though I also play on PC, so I get my needs fulfilled.

Will we see any leaks before Tuesday?

I'm kind of expecting leaks from those Best-Buy units. If I worked in a Best-Buy and got one of those demo units I would find a way to at least know what's inside. It has to leak.

Also, as in previous years, I'm expecting pictures from people in Nintendo E3 booth before the whole thing starts. Everybody has a cellphone with a camera and they can't cover everything forever, right?

I hope they announce a new star fox so i can use this

Oh, can I still make it on the hype ship? My account got activated after some people got overexcited and forced a closure of that other thread. Don't leave without me!

If they managed to release DLC for Mario Kart 7 ( I don't even know if this is possible to do, technically), new courses and karts, how many of you would buy it?

I would.

Here's the sales of the 3D Zelda home console games:

Wind Waker - Sold 4.6 million copies. It is ranked as the 4th best selling GameCube title.

Skyward Sword - Sold 3.52 million copies as of April 2012. It holds the current record for being the fastest selling Zelda title. It is also the 19th best selling game on Wii.

Ocarina of Time - Sold 7.6 million copies. It is the 4th best selling N64 title.

Majora's Mask - Sold 3.36 million copies. It is the 9th best selling N64 title.

How many copies to date?

Edit: Damn you, guek

Remember Skyward Sword and majoras Mask came at the end of a lifecycle. Also both needed additional equipment, Majoras Mask needed a memory expansion, Skyward Sword required motionplus.

Twilight Princess is the second best selling 3d Zelda, after OoT, and out of the 2d games, only loses to the original Zelda.

Anyway, those interviews were given shortly after Skyward Sword's release, and they also talked about how they'd be sticking with motion controls for future titles. I thik they were just trying to make Skyward Sword more relevant, avoiding hurting it with their comments. I really don't think we'll see the Wii U Zelda looking and playing like Skyward Sword.
