To be fair, I'm from Europe and I barely even knew this website existed. Nevermind that Nintendo sold their own brand of SD cards on it.
It is still utterly insane though.
Actually the Europe one loads faster for me. But then I am in Europe so that's probably why.Well.

You'll noticed it was updated as recently as 2012. Yes, they're preserving history all right, complete with multiple "Click Here" flashing gif buttons. All that's missing is repeating flaming skull gifs, and a hit counter.
So by some metrics, Nintendo's site is the future! It's all about perspective.
