Nintendo Switch PDP Screen Protector - anyone actually get it to install right?

The one I got with the official case was pretty easy to put on. No bubbles, haven't had any issues with the heat in dock mode either.

You can remove and reapply these things, just wash with water+soap and then clean with water (theres a few youtube tutorials). I've done it on my phone and camera 2 or 3 times before it got decent and almost bubble free.

If it's PDP, it probably wasn't designed or manufactured right in the first place.

The only thing the brand is good for is getting cheap third party controllers to give to your friends for multiplayer.

I unfortuantely bought the PDP one. Its shit. I'm just waiting for it to deteriorate before I spend money on another one, three days after release.

I have a regular PDP protector while I wait for my Zelda-themed PDP one to arrive. I applied it and got no bubbles except for ONE tiny particle of dust and it bothers me. I thought I applied it perfectly but I was like a nanometer off so the right side has a slight bubble to it.

Mirroring what other have said, my AmFilm screen protectors just came in today and they are absolutely flawless!

Quoting my own pics so they do not show up as gigantic!

Not a crack or any bubbles at top just reflection the switch screen is super duper reflective I've noticed!

Side question: What's the best way to install these things without massive bubbles? I was able to install a screen protector on my iPhone 7 easy as hell as I just sprayed water all over it and applied it and used a card to squeegee the water out. Don't think that's advisable in this situation.

Just went to the Nintendo store and grabbed one. Guy at the register said the same shit when I asked what's the difference.

I ordered hundreds if not thousands of screen protectors for my mobile shop. Many people buy a cheap one, fail to put it on without bubbles and then proceed to blame it on the screen protector because it's cheap. But most of the screen protectors cheap or expensive probably all come from a handful of manufacturers and are just rebranded. That Nintendo screen protector is literally less than 20cents but they'll charge you $10 for it. If you're after a cheap screen protector try aliexpress.

The regular way to put on a screen protector bubble free is to

1. Wipe the screen clean of dust particles. These cause bubbling. You can use a glass cleaner if you wish but make sure to dry it and have it free of particles.

2. Align the screen protector accurately. Not aligning it correctly will lead to edge bubbling as in the OP. The design size of most protectors don't leave much room for margin of error so 1mm out can cause edge bubbling of either side.

3. Use a credit card to start apply the screen protector evenly. Push excess bubbles out to the side. For bubbles that don't go away, the screen needs to be lifted up and the dust particle removed. A piece of sticky tape usually does the trick.

4. You can lift up the screen protector as many times as you want but the more you move it around the more dust particles you are going to attract and your job will just get worse. It's an art basically.

Oh and get a glass one. They feel great!

I got the amFilm glass one on Amazon and had a guy that I trusted put it on for me in his store. I hate dust.

I haven't checked it yet but he said it looks great! I actually haven't used my Switch yet now that I think about it.

Ended up throwing out my PDP protector that came with my Mario case - it was definitely trash. The case itself is fine though
