The pulse thing is nice because poking every wall has always been an annoying thing about Metroid.

It's probably limited in some way. Either by ammo or a timer as they weren't spamming it during the boss fight.

If that's the casee, I'm hoping that their is a Retro-themed roundtable this year during the show. That's how they revealed Smash and Code Name Steam. DKTF has been done for 3 years, they surely have something to show.
