It's still my favourite Pokemon game and it's arguably the longest game in the series. I'd love to play it again in updated graphics. Considering LG/FR, do you guys think there's something in the works?

Pokemon games haven't changed much in YEARS, and you want a remake? Your part of the problem.

Hey!

at least G/S offered something new (Dark and Steel type Pokemon).

Excuse me if I'm wrong for I have not played D/P, but isn't every pokémon save for legends and starters from the other regions available in-game? What would be the point of a G/S remake? Nintendo is still trying to sell Fr/Lg here in the states at least (hello players choice) so when they inevitably leave Kanto out of the proposed remakes everyone here will be crying. :lol

But couldn't the same have been said for XD and Emerald though? As I said above, NOA didn't even use Emerald to give Mews away.

GSC also introduced the Berries (although they were just basic back then, like "Berry" and "Psncure Berry".)

FireRed and LeafGreen did so well because people liked the idea of playing the original games with updated grahics. Gold/Silver/Crystal where really popular as well.

The best part of Gold and Silver was the ability to go back to the first region from Red and Blue and play through all THOSE gyms...and THEN go after the hero from the first game.
