150k is doable if they're including the US and japanese release sales. If that's japanese sales then they are pretty fucked. If only the title was releasing later on in the year. By the looks of it, I think the PS4 will be a lot better off in japan there due to the increased amount of developers actually releasing titles for it(or planning to).

Hope NIS/NISA is still around this time next year. I loved The Guided Fate Paradox and really enjoy most of NISA's localizations. Perhaps I'm just in denial, but could they really be in such a dire situation? Seems kind of weird to just mention financial troubles for the first time in a short magazine quote.

I know that they are a niche publisher, but shouldn't they be trying to release on more than just Playstation platforms to spread the risk.

This is not the first time they've mentioned being in trouble. They've been in trouble for years, and I don't know if many of their games have solved this. I know The Witch and the Hundred Knight failed to make them any money at all.

I don't think it helps that Disgaea 5 is also one of the ugliest games on PS4, technically speaking. The game has already cemented itself for a niche audience, and I can only see that getting smaller, not bigger.

seriously Disgaea is the ultimate stat-whore SRPG. It's one of my favorite series. I am in the manual of one of the North American versions of Disgaea, for christ's sake!
