I respect the Element and the Scion... but that is the worst.

Japanese cars can't become piles of crap like American cars did... I think I'd die

For some reason I like the back end of it but not the front. To me it almost looks like two different cars depending on what side you're looking at. Somebody designed the front and somebody designed the back and neither of them consulted each other about what they were doing and why.

The back end changed for the US Cube, I'd guess for crash test stuff.

The Japanese one is much more flat.

black was our 3rd pic behind brown and green. I like it.

i like the cube. starting to get into the whole vanning trend. i'd like to have one but buying cars new doesn't seem worth it to me. a few years later, the cars would be just as interesting (if it was to begin with) at a fraction of the cost.

The other night when I went to the movies, two cubes were in the parking lot. One was white and was ugly as hell. In black, though...I kind of like it. So did my friends, it's weird. We all agree that the white is fugly and that the car is pretty gross but in black it looks more out of this world and edgy-different rather than fucking gross and shameful.

I love my '06 xB, especially the interior. Great car to fuck in.
I don't like the Cube as much, but it's growing on me.

Well, for those who don't see it, the back actually has a purpose with the "wrap around window." It's so when you turn your head to check the next lane, there is no blind spot. You can see almost all the way around. I didn't like it either until I heard this.

Most of the shit from GM is ugly as fuck. Actually most American cars are fucking ugly. With exception to some of the more recent retro-redesigns which are simply stunning (Camaro, Challenger) or the Corvette, American can designers can't seem to get away from designing gaudy in your face vehicles with huge chrome grills and bonnet vents. What they did with the Holden designed Monaro (GTO to you) just blows my mind; how they turned what was quite a clean looking muscle car into that mess of a thing called a GTO I dunno.

The Cube is actually a funky looking car. It's kind of like Top Gears 'X' factor for the cool wall. It's not a beautiful looking car, it's not a fast car, it no doubt corners like a panda riding atop a dog and it's definitely not cool in the same way an Aston Martin makes bond look; but it has a sort of off beat look to it that only it has, sort of cute without over doing it while catching your eye. The asymmetrical design is interesting.

F OFF.

of the three, i really like that the cube is confident in its plainliness.
it's cleaner.
it doesn't try to overdesign with weird moldings and lines 'n' shapes.
proportions aren't too shabby either.

The cube looks much better IRL, it's cute. I always like this sort of weird-looking but cute Japanese cars. :D

<----- this man in my avatar would probably disagree with me though...

Yes, it is ugly as hell and I fucking despise the ad. Watch towards the end as everyone gets out and someone opens the trunk to reveal... fabric shopping bags with the "recycle" symbol on them! They're hip, they're out to have fun... but they care about the environment. Those are the type of people who drive the Cube!

Fucking disgusting, manipulative bullshit. I hate advertising.

This car speaks to me, visually...can't wait to see what's on the market in 3-4 years when I'm looking around again.

Everytime you see one of these on the road you can't help but look.

I am seeing more and more on the road, my fiance and I were sitting out side at a local cafe for lunch this weekend (weather is great here in FL right now, clear skies, mid 70s) and we saw 3 drive by!!!!

awesome car and I updated it a bit since I last posted in this thread:
leather seat covers:
some DiY replacement for the ripple hooks:
next mod will be new speakers when I get around too it.
How do you manage to drive this thing with zero pick up? From a stop light, this thing is severely lacking any "get-up-and-go" That "Continuously Variable Transmission" may be nice on gas, but it's horribly sluggish to drive. I mean, my Prius puts this thing to shame.

Have you taken a Cube for a test drive?

Has better pick up then the Yaris it replaced, but yeah it is no match for my MCS or Mustang GT but not ever car has to.

Cube is an awesome party room on wheels.

Isn't the Cube just a fantastic car?
The Mustang and the Mini Cooper put on a brave smile but if you look closer you can see their disappointment.

i still think the cube is a hideous abomination and i can't believe scion's box car design caught on with so many companies / people D:

Wow, I didn't realize this thread was still going! This is cool, I'm glad you guys are passionate about a vehicle that doesn't cost $100k.

During the summer, I saw a man in his 50's admiring his Cube in the parking lot of a local shopping center. I asked "New?" He said "Yeah, I just picked it up today. Traded in my old truck using the cash-for-clunkers". He was really in love with it. It takes some getting used to, but it does really look solid. I'm all for switching up the status quo in the auto industry.

If you check out the Cube board there is a rather large cross over of Cube / MINI owners.

We know how to pick great cars :D

ugh, i hate that the cube has 4x114.3 bolt pattern. when i found out, it was fuuuuu.jpg.
i had a hella time finding nice wheels in that size for my last car. so i just sprung for the 5 lug swap. it kinda looks like the jp version was 4x100? (at least the previous model, it seems) which is a lot more common.

the sema car got custom ssr's. so i guess go big or go home. the sema car was relatively mild though. doesn't seem like there's that many parts out and they didn't really go too crazy on custom fab.
