It seems Europe just can't win. While they're finally getting Shadow of the Colossus, it looks like they'll never get any new faceplates for their Game Boy Micros. British Gaming Blog contacted Nintendo and received this reply, "I have not heard that Nintendo will be selling replaceable face plates in Europe. They are available in the USA but not over here unfortunately." Ouch!

Well, if Nintendo won't sell them, someone else will. It appears eBay has plenty if you really want to change the look or your diminutive handheld.

More annoying than this to me is that the introduction of Micro has had no knock down effect on the price of GBA SPs. They're the same price as GB Micros at most stores (£69.99). And DS only costs a little bit more really.

I do fancy Micro though. I've been umming and ahhing over whether to trade in my NES SP towards one.

you have to buy the entire system to get the good faceplates anyway (Famicom, FF, etc)so there's really no difference

Yeah, I don't get this -- where are the freaking faceplates? They showed all those awesome Nintendo-themed ones before launch, but then nothing ever came out. I understand not stocking them in stores, but why no special order service?
