I wonder if it will be possible to switch from M&K and gamepad on the fly (to control the ship).

You can in most games, simply moving the stick on the controller normally kicks it into controller mode.

How does 1440 look on a 4k screen?

I'm using an OLED tv and sitting on my couch, I find it looks great. Not sure how a monitor would handle it but I frequently run sub 4K to prioritize frames.

Recent example is Star Wars battlefront. 4K is beautiful but 1440 with steady 60fps on the couch is better for me.

PS4's GPU is more or less a 7870. PC 7870s are a bit more powerful mostly due to better cooling.
If the devs track record with PC is anything to go by don't expect a perfect port(don't expect telltale levels of shit performance either)
