I am a loot-whore, so whichever one comes first, I will be playing it. Diablo 3 is top of the list but I did enjoy Torchlight when it came to XBLA. Never finished the PC version due to crashes and other annoyances but finished the XBLA version several times.

If D3 comes first, then no matter how good Torchlight 2 ends up being, it will pretty much get ignored until the D3 fever has subsided...so after about 2 years then.

Started playing D2 while I wait for D3...Already lost so many hours to it.

Im really gonna be in a bind if this launches anywhere near diablo 3.

They've stated they can't get T2 to run on consoles due to memory limitations.

Never heard of this. Just looked it up on youtube. That is some hardcore Diablo looking shit. Looks more like Diablo then Diablo 3 or Torchlight. Have to check it out when it comes out. According to it's wikipedia, it's not even going into open beta until 2012, though.

I have the feeling Torchlight 2 will still be out months before Diablo 3. So it should be alright.

I really hate when people say this. After playing the beta of D3 i feel like its painterly style fits, and more importantly, the game plays just like previous diablos.

Might want to read this article, it's pretty good. I don't think either game really looks like Diablo 2 in terms of art but I think Torchlight looks closer in terms of gameplay personally and I was surprised to see someone from the Diablo fansite write such an unbiased article.

At this point, I will simply say that no matter what anyone believes, only Diablo 2 plays like Diablo 2 - and that is a fact that needs to be DEALT WITH - yeah.

Every single other games takes its legacy down on different paths.
The rest is just anonymity+insecurity+internet, basically.

I know that I am going to buy Torchlight 2, I will support Path of Exile, and I will buy Diablo 3 CE all day one. And the most gametime will go to D3, as it has the strongest endgame and the chance to get me some extra cash as well.

My reponse was in regards to the guy who said Path of Exile looked more like Diablo 3 than Diablo 3 did. Again, I think Diablo 3 looks great despite its different take on the Gothic stylings of previous Diablo games, and it plays EXACTLY like previous diablo games and comments like the one i was quoting have become sort of a pet peeve.

Yeah, i think i'll be in the same boat. I don't really see myself getting into two Action RPG's at the same time.
