I'm sure he's working on it, as I don't think ND's second team are doing anything else. Naughty Dogs work with Uncharted put them on the map in becoming the most proficient studio out there. Here's to hoping that they'll take a darker route this time around now that they've set it up so that we'll be able to explore Drake's origins.

since Nolan North voices a character in the game it would make sense that he's there.

Am I the only one who thinks they could get away with taking some time off from it? Dont get me wrong I was the biggest Uncharted 1 fan (and 2) havent played 3 yet. But lets not turn this into assassins creed please. I hope they take all 2013 off and possibly not until xmas 2014 or even 2015

Nolan has done this before before Uncharted 3 was announced. He's as intrinsic to that character as anyone else, and Uncharted is nothing without Drake.
When U4 is announced - and it will be, eventually - Nolan will be involved. No reason to even doubt that.

NDAs man. I wouldn't mind another Uncharted so long as they make some big changes. I'd prefer another IP entirely, but it'd be awesomely to see what ND could wrangle out of the PS4.
Well yeah. There was no indication what game he was talking about in that post. I mean, one could easily assume it was Uncharted related since this is in an Uncharted thread. He should have said: Naught Dog lied, In the Last of Us"....(then spoiler tags or whatever).

You're right. They use performance capture for their games. It's one of the main reasons why the dialogue delivery in Uncharted and TLOU is so damn good. I think the perfom cap happens rather early after preproduction is wrapped up with the story and artwork.

YES! Hopefully a new franchise. Enough of Uncharted is enough. We already got three major console releases and one decently big & quality handheld one. Let's quit while we're still ahead, so that we won't be in a similar situation as with God of War, where absolutely no one wanted a sequel (or prequel or interquel or what the ever hell it is) to Kratos' adventures.

As much as i would love Uncharted 4 on PS4 i would rather have ND work on something new and take what they have learnt with the Last of Us and take that even further to make something new and amazing.

They didnt work like that, the script got changed and modified along the way, even Last of Us got some script changes. so voice actor need to be ready for reshoot etc throughout development. Uncharted 3 actually suffer from one of the voice actor leaving the project midway, thats why Cutter suddenly missing in the second half of Uncharted 3 and they had to shuffle setpieces around.
