I bought the entire PSN library and Sony didn't give me one.
Dude, I bought that godawful Go! Sports Skiiing game and I didn't get in. :( For buying that and pretty much all hte PSX games they have had (and then starting them up and going "huh those were the days huh" for 10 minutes and never thinking about them again) you'd think Sony would slide me a little beta love. Shit, after the skiing game you'd think Sony would send some a VP of worldwide game development to my house to apologize and offer to uninstall the game for me so I'm not offended by the icon. Instead I get to laugh bitterly at the Hitler-Home beta youtube clip again.

Ugg.. got my system at launch.. bought 19 ps3 games, a ton of psn games, game expansions, downloaded almost every demo/theme/background and I even got an annual subscription to Qore. And I got nothing.. oh well :(

It's worse than even I anticipated. :X

why are ppl getting so pissed off? It's a random selection. What you do has no affect on if you get in or not, besides downloading the theme.

I'm reminded of Phantasy Star Online / Universe, if PSO/U were really, really shitty.
Not a bad reference there. Honestly, it's like the SIMS but you are walking the characters around. The bowling segment was kinda cool, since you could see the other people on the alley walking around and whatnot, but still nothing major. Seems like too little too late.

I plan on spending more time with Home and everything still, though. Maybe, something will catch my interest. I think the lack of overall communication doesn't help either. I've said Hi to people and they just walk away. The only guy who talked with me was the guy I bowled against.

Didn't get an invite, wasn't really expecting one though. I'm not a Qore subscriber and don't buy much off PSN.

Funny, the UK server has a really nice community feel to it. It's what convinced me Home could work.

Alright, I spent about an hour in there, and overall, it was just kind of boring.

The lack of beards really set the tone for me. There are lots of options you don't need, and then a lack of anything in other areas. I know it's just a beta, and I'm sure these things will get ironed out, but the folks who didn't get invites, seriously, you're not missing much.

Rubber Bob was fun, though.

Sucks I really wanted to be in this... thought I had a good shot, but I guess not. Here's waiting some more.

Well, Home doesn't blow me away, but I wasn't expecting it to.

The Game Space can be pretty fun, playing Pool and Bowling with others.
It's basically what it was advertised to be over a year ago.

Oh, and it sure as hell is a beta... I've crashed twice so far. lol

My Impressions...

The Good:
Its a nice way to meet PS3 users, and make PSN friends easier. Pool/Bowling/Chess are fun, they remind me of the Shockwave games I used to play in high school to kill time. It would be really nice if they add a variety of those games for free all over the city. Maybe a checkers table, a cards deck, etc. Things just to mess around with people and say "good game" after.

People seemed to get the hang of it easily, I didn't see alot of people struggling to go from place to place. Helped a few guys who couldn't find the mall. Some people were asking questions about having multiple homes.

What needs improvements:
Everyone looks like a damn kid. Facial hair is needed and not no Sony approved pedo-stache neither.

This is an outrage.

Home is very simplistic. There's no unique furniture no special addons, no appliances/tvs/in home pooltables/stereo systems/etc. I don't know how to invite people into my home, but even if I did the place is empty. There is no bed I can sleep in, its always morning (it never gets dark), and there is no adult bookstore.

There's Nothing really to decorate your house with. Right now everything is generic. It is missing something to keep drawing people back, those who are less interested in community.

I kind of want a pet dog to walk in the park and maybe pick up ladies. I dunno lol, just throwing ideas out there. It needs some form of replay value, either getting PSN levels make more items available to you to purchase from the shops.

There is a potential there...

yeah, that's basically what I'm going in expecting whenever I get this, but I'm looking forward to that. It'll be cool to walk around and find people interested in getting a game together or something, it'll also be cool to meet up with friends and play those games such as pool and bowling and whatnot.

Seriously though why do people expect they will get invites?

Eh my problem is that I got into nearly every single PS2 beta there was via Gamer advisor panel/ Playstation underground.

I'd think seniority counts for something...right? RIGHT?

The honest truth is that Sony hates me and never wants me in any of their beta. First Resistance 2, and now this. Prove me wrong, Sony. Do it.

Even though this is in the beta phase, and quite limited, I still feel that there's some potential here. Guess I'm the only one that feels this way.

I spent some time with Home this afternoon after rushing to download the beta... and I'm not sure yet that I see what the big deal is. I suppose that it's neat to be able to create your own "home space" and decorate it, and I think that a lot of the cross-promotional stuff (like trailers and posters) was immersive-- like a PlayStation world of its own-- but I don't know why I'd keep coming back to Home.

It was cool playing the little games that SCEE put in there, like bowling and pool. The arcade games are a nice touch, but I wasn't impressed with any of them. I can see where the sense of community comes into play, as there were plenty of other people running around to interact with, had I chosen to do so.

I didn't see whether any of the game-specific spaces (like Uncharted) were in the beta at this point. These game spaces are a big reason why I was looking forward to trying Home in the first place.

I'm going to spend more time with Home over the rest of the week, but my first impression of Home is less than stellar.

To those offering their impressions about Home, please realize it's kinda like reviewing a web browser without internet.

Lame, I wonder why they decided to make it random; I thought they were basing it on psn stats. Also, other regions got emais telling them they didn't get invited.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!! :(
