I used to work with a team in Hyderabad India, and their time zone was N hours 30 minutes off from me. I always thought that was strange.

Actually my timezone (falls under Venezuela) is -4:30, I think its one of the few timezones that use half hour increments

Everyone mentions Australia but Nepal is even more odd; their time zone is +5:45.

North Korea's already in its own dimension, so it might as hell create their own time zone while they're at it.

A lot of software (looking at you, PS3) took years to add that special Venezuelan time zone when it was created. I don't think most North Koreans will have that problem though.

Well, going back to Korea's original timezone doesn't sound as batshit insane as their usual shenanigans.

Though I honestly don't get why countries would want 30 min, 15 min etc. differences. That's too short to benefit anything and just makes dealing with international matters confusing.
