Well sure; I'm not really arguing that this will result in a DLSS clone.OK, but even if so, how would that contribute to a DLSS "clone" popping up anytime soon? I assume the end user would still need Nvidia tensor capable hardware to even make sense of that common data model.
But you don't need tensor cores most likely to be clear. That's the kind of code modification a hacker would do to say, get DLSS working on AMD cards. Which is something that MIGHT happen w/ this leak. Of course DLSS will continue to improve over time and/or games might be updated in a way to block hacked DLSS DLLs, etc.,etc.
At this point most hackers are doing more white hat stuff, or stuff to grab the attention of companies that might want to hire them, and aren't releasing stuff either way.
I don't think many would want to fuck with nVidia.. They have an insane amount of money/legal resources/etc.
