This guy has been working with Russia as an Exxon employee since the 80s. He's basically a Russia at this point. He holds Russia's and Exxon's best interests, not Americas.

Trump has turned the executive office into a reality tv show. It's like some sick twist of a celebrity reality show, where the contestants are not celebrities but CEO and business managers from various fields. They've all been put in a big fancy White House and have to come together to run a country.Every week there will be team and individual challenges the contestants have to perform. At the end of each week someone gets fired and the winner gets to be Donald's VP in his second term.

if Trump nominates him

how easy do you think it will become for congress to turn this around and accuse him of trying to appease russia

like surely that is an option isn't it, since they're going to do an investigation

Hate to say I called it with Romney; kiss the ring then yank it away. I wouldn't be surprised if the douche made Romney for dinner. Trump = President Shinra confirmed. We just need Ivanka to start wearing a suit and arm herself with tonfa sticks and you even have the Turks.

Just read that Rick Perry is to be the Energy Sec., someone wanna make that thread?

Jesus Christ kill me kill me fuck me shoot me kill me.

Everybody who voted for Trump deserves a curb stomping. White male millenials to dipshit grandma's. Fuck them all.

Trump will finally be getting his PDBs when his handler is confirmed.

Oops.

I wonder if the Dept. of Energy was "the other one" he forgot about...

edit: Holy shit it was. Perry actually CAMPAIGNED on ELIMINATING the Department of Energy. This has gotta be "fake news."

Well, the E.P.A guy hates the E.P.A

The Labor guy hates labor

The Education secretary hates public education

Seems about right for a Trump pick!

Wait until you find out what the Department of Energy is in charge of. I'll wait here while you google it. Don't worry, I'll know you found it when I hear your screams of terror.

Condi Rice
James Baker
Robert Gates

These endorsements will push him over. Not even McCain can win against that.

James Baker, the George H.W. Bush secretary of state who, MSNBC reported, advised Donald Trump to pick Tillerson, is a partner at a law firm that has represented Exxon as well as Rosneft, the Russian state-owned oil company that partners with Exxon.

The Treasury Department imposed sanctions on RosneftÂ’s chairman, a close Vladimir Putin ally named Igor Sechin, in 2014 in response to RussiaÂ’s annexation of Crimea.

The firm, Baker Botts (named for BakerÂ’s great-grandfather), also represents Gazprom, the Russian state gas company.
Tillerson, who is expected to be nominated by Trump on Tuesday, also came recommended by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Defense Secretary Robert Gates. They also work for Exxon through their international consulting firm, Rice Hadley Gates.

Now we know why they endorsed him.

I feel it's unfair to say he's 'Russia's puppet' when he was the CEO of one of the biggest company in the world in one of the biggest area of the global economy who had to broker deals with a lot of countries.

Speaking of interests, Trump tweeted that he's leaving his business(es) by January 20th and no new deals will take place with his company during his tenure as President.

I was gonna make a Perry thread, but it's honestly too fucking stupid.

(Actual real fucking) Headline: Rick Perry could be Trump pick for energy, department he couldn't name

Featuring such tidbits as:

This fall, he appeared as a contestant on Dancing with the Stars, competing against disgraced Olympic swimmer Ryan Lochte and novelty rapper Vanilla Ice.

And rehashes the infamous moment, thusly:

“It’s three agencies of government when I get there that are gone,” he said. “Commerce, education and the, um, what’s the third one there? Let’s see.”

“I can’t,” he said. “The third one, I can’t. Sorry. Oops.”

It was the energy department, which is responsible for US energy policy and oversees the nation’s nuclear weapons program.

We are all dead.

Wait until you find out what the Department of Energy is in charge of. I'll wait here while you google it. Don't worry, I'll know you found it when I hear your screams of terror.

We are all dead.

How often does this happen in history?

Seems like a bad time all around for the boss to hate his job.

Office meetings must be fun.

Although I imagine sometimes the new boss is 'converted to the cause'. If you live and breath in the environment for long enough, even the grinch grows a heart.

Well Trump is purging the E.P.A of anyone who ever attended a meeting/talked about climate change, so, yeah. Lots of people are gonna leave federal service I'd wager.

doubt he could legally. Remember our government for better and worse moves like a glacier. This isn't the first rodeo with GOP trying to discredit science.

Might as well bring Steven Seagal on board at this point...

I really don't know how the Russian ties can be so transparent, yet there's no repercussions for it. Surely something is going to come from all of this right? Is the only hope in keeping this man from becoming president the electoral college vote?

But they have full control now

not the first time!

Worth reading up on

In short. When something has been established by law, its a long and difficult process to reverse.

And good luck firing the whole energy department (think it was them that got that questionaire not the EPA) without major blowback in terms of lawsuits and other headaches.

I'm starting to think that all these picks are (dare I say it) "distractions," and that right before these confirmation hearings Trump will put forward other nominees just so everyone says, "oh, this new nominee isn't as bad..."

Perry... honestly? That's a troll pick. Trump's only putting Perry out there because he knows everyone will jump on him for the "oops" moment, and make whomever the GoP installs look comparatively tolerable.

No, its a contract job. They have access to $300/mo high deductable health insurance.
There's an app. It's like uber, you can look for nearby enemies if the state. They don't employ the jack booted thugs directly, and they have to supply their own jack boots.

But nothing stopping them from implementing really shitty regulations/policies that could turn public opinion against it. then blame said organization when people realize those shitty regulations/polices are shitty, which in turn would accelerate it's dismantling
