TOP 10 Shawn Bradley Posterizations!

Sorry DM, Tmac's is missing. Robert Pack's is sick as hell though. And leave it to Shawn Bradley to give Ed O'Bannon his only career highlight.

It's hilarious to see how much all his opposition relishes going up against him because he sucks so bad. In that montage you just see them licking their chops when they see him there.

"hahaah Bradley is in the paint. I'm going to make a point of going right through him just because I can."

For instance, neither the Rockets nor Suns would pull the trigger on an Amare-Yao trade. But at the very least, the Rockets say, "Wow, Amare's available?" while the Suns would say, "There's no way we're trading Amare."

why?

Does this new version of Ray Allen come with new features or something (besides the ability to turn 30 years old)?

The ability to carry a team, you know, unlike T-Mac. Give me a holla when T-Mac gets out of the first round. I'll probably be in a coffin by then, though.

:lol :lol :lol

Nice job trying to take the spotlight off the Sonics giving an aging guard a max contract, I'm sure it will work out just like it always does!

So June 2006 is the date for you? :)

Comparing Ray Allen to Allan Houston just shows the board how utterly clueless you are when it comes to basketball, Dmpostalot.

Horry, a 2005 Finals hero, ready to stay in San Antonio

"Big Shot Bob" is staying put.

The San Antonio Express-News reported on its Web site Wednesday that Robert Horry will remain with the San Antonio Spurs after agreeing to a three-year deal with the team. Houston television station KRIV also reported the agreement. Financial details were not disclosed.

Horry has won six NBA titles, including the 2005 championship while making key shots down the stretch for the Spurs in a seven-game series against the Detroit Pistons.

With his sixth title, the lanky forward joined the elite club occupied by Michael Jordan and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.

Free agents can't sign with a team until the terms of the league's collective bargaining agreement are settled later this month, but that appears to now be a formality for Horry and the Spurs.

"As soon as he is allowed to sign the contract, he is going to sign it," Robert Barr, who represented the 13-year veteran in negotiations, told the Express-News on Tuesday.

The paper reported there is a clause in the third year of the deal that would allow the Spurs to buy out the final year.

Horry's reputation for making clutch shots was on full display in Game 5 in Detroit. Horry scored the Spurs' final five games, calmly draining a 3-pointer with five seconds left in overtime to put San Antonio up 3-2 in the series.

Horry came off the bench to score 15 points in Game 7, including a key 3-pointer with 8:22 left in the fourth quarter to exetend the Spurs' lead to five. The Pistons never got closer than three points the rest of the way.

Horry spent 6½ seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and helped them win three consecutive NBA championships. But they elected to let him go after he struggled in the 2002-2003 season. He signed with the Spurs.

Barr said while Horry considered signing with the Dallas Mavericks, "Robert's love for the Spurs organization, head coach Greg Popovich and the city of San Antonio was too much for him to walk away from."

ray allen resigns with the sonics

see 'ya later, spurs. hardly knew you...

Aw, it took a max deal for the Sonics to lock up Ray Allen? The only thing the Spurs needed to lock him up was..

Bow to your owner, Ray.

"If Ray didn't have such a big head, I wouldn't enjoy being in it all the time. And yes my hand is deformed. Come get it Shuttlesworth!!"

Oh and PS: Thank you Bob for doing the classy thing and coming back. Lets hope for the Spurs sake that the deal is for 5 million per, else we'll be straining to get FA's and stay anywhere near the cap.

Joe Johnson

Mo' Joe
Jul. 6 The Suns want Joe Johnson back and have made him a contract offer, the Arizona Republic reports. The team has made it known that the restricted free agent is a top priority and now await his response.

Swift in Houston
Jul. 6 In need of frontcourt help, the Rockets will meet with free agent power forward Stromile Swift today, reports the Houston Chronicle. Swift's youth and athleticism make him attractive to the Rockets. However, the club can only offer him the mid-level exception because they are over the salary cap.
The Rockets have also inquired about Donyell Marshall, Antoine Walker and Bobby Simmons, while Swift's agent, Andy Miller, said other teams are also pursuing Swift.

Jul. 6 According to the San Antonio Express-News, Big Shot Rob has agreed to a three-year deal with the Spurs, putting to rest any ideas of a reunion with Shaq in Miami.

Christie wants out of Orlando
Jul. 6 Doug Christie never got it going with the Magic and after his season-ending ankle surgery, he demanded a trade. And even with all of the front-office changes, he's still looking to get out, Florida Today reports.
"Hopefully he'll have a change of mind," new head coach Brian Hill said, "because I think Doug is a pretty good basketball player, especially at the defensive end of the floor. I'd love to have him back here to try and fit in with this team."

Cuttino Mobley

Mountain time for Mobley?
Jul. 6 The Nuggets are high on Cuttino Mobley's list. According to the Denver Post, Mobley's agent, Andy Miller, spoke to Nuggets general manager Kiki Vandeweghe several times Tuesday. Said Miller: "(Mobley) thinks (Karl) can fine-tune his game and make him better while also helping take the team to the playoffs."
Mobley, who declined his option with Sacramento, would fill a need for Denver -- 3-point shooting. However, the Nuggets may have only the mid-level exception to offer, so a sign-and-trade may be in order. According to the Rocky Mountain News, the Kings want Nene.

The Los Angeles Clippers are also reportedly interested in Mobley, says the Post.

WHO INTERESTED THE SKINNY

Shareef Abdur-Rahim
Trail Blazers

Spurs?

Moving Forward
Jul. 6 The Nets are doing everything they can to land some frontcourt help, including enlisting the help of Jay-Z perhaps. According to the New York Daily News, the Nets will give Abdur-Rahim the red-carpet treatment starting today during his two-day visit to New Jersey as they try to convince the power forward to take the $4.9 million they have available.
But, Aaron Goodwin, Abdur-Rahim's agent, said last week that it is "doubtful" he'd take lesser money to go to New Jersey. The only draw might be Lawrence Frank and Jason Kidd. Frank was a scout and assistant with the Vancouver Grizzlies in 1997 when Abdur-Rahim played up north. And Kidd and Abdur-Rahim both played college ball at Cal.

Abdur-Rahim is also slated to visit Sacramento, says the Daily News.

WHO INTERESTED THE SKINNY

Greg Buckner

Who's got Buckner's back?
Jul. 6 The Denver Post is reporting that Greg Buckner is still interested in returning to the Nuggets. "They'd like him back and he'd like to be back," Buckner's agent, Steve Kauffman, said.
Buckner is looking for a deal that at least approaches the mid-level exception range. Kauffman also said his client has heard from five or six teams, with Houston believed to be among them.

WHO INTERESTED THE SKINNY

Bobby Simmons
Clippers

Clippers?
Rockets?

It's Bobby's world
Jul. 6 The Clippers are keeping an eye on Bobby Simmons, the L.A. Times reports. "They're trying to do everything they can to improve their team, so I think they're looking at a lot of different things," Simmons' agent, Mark Bartelstein, said of the Clippers. "But they've certainly made it clear that they want Bobby back."
The Times also said that the Houston Rockets are among the teams interested in Simmons, an unrestricted free agent and the league's most improved player.

Marko on the market
Jul. 6 According to the L.A. Times, the Clippers are expected to renew talks about re-signing Jaric. But they may have competition in the Denver Nuggets, who are among the teams interested in the restricted free agent point guard.

TORONTO (CP) - Racist slurs flew in an unusual direction before an alleged altercation outside a strip club two years ago involving three NBA players, a Toronto court heard Wednesday.

Adrian Cimpean, who alleges he was assaulted by Gary Payton, Sam Cassell and Jason Caffey, told the court he was picking up his fiancee after she got off work at a downtown strip club in April 2003 when the three players began yelling at her from a taxi before hurling racial slurs at him.

"Do you know who I am? Do you know who you're dealing with? ... Nigger, I'm going to teach you a lesson," Cimpean said one of the men yelled from the cab.

The racist slur was also preceded by profanity.

The alleged slur raised eyebrows in the courtroom since Cimpean is white, while the three accused are black.

Eddie Greenspan, the lawyer representing the players, noted the unusual nature of the allegation and asked Cimpean why any of the accused would call him an offensive name not usually directed at white people.

Cimpean said he was "surprised to be called that," but did not provide a detailed explanation.

He said the three accused surrounded him, pushed him to the ground and beat him.

He said the assault lasted between three and five minutes, and ended when he saw them driving off in the taxi, "smiling, laughing."

Payton also allegedly pushed Cimpean's fiancee and assaulted another female dancer at the scene. Cassell also allegedly assaulted the club's bouncer.

McMillian To Coach Portland
Nate McMillanSeattle was able to keep Ray Allen in town. But the Sonics couldn't keep head coach Nate McMillan from leaving. ESPN.com's Chad Ford reports McMillian has agreed to a five-year deal to coach the Portland Trail Blazers.

:lol

McMillan is a dumbass. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he arrives at the Portland training facility to find Darius Miles, Zach Randolph and Ruben Patterson running a dice game outside the locker room.

AAAAhhh!!! of all the places Mac 10 could run off to! He knows we hate Portland... AAhhh that sucks if true!!!!!!!!

EDIT: IT IS TRUE.... (;_;)

I guess he figures Seattle can't keep their other FAs and Ray won't be playing for a contract again...

yeah losing James is what pushed him over the edge.... has nothing to do with Paul Allen offering him a huge bucket of money..

Man... I am bummed out... not only did we lose Mac 10 but we couldn't replace him with Casey... ouch..

Bowser said:
Where did James go?

No where, yet. But I think the way he played in the playoffs, some team will take a gamble on him and offer him mega bucks... Something I hope the Sonics don't do.. he isn't worth the cap space..

BTW, can't Ray Allen decide to renege on his verbal agreement to resign with the Sonics, now that he knows Nate isn't coming back?

Bowser said:

Maybe, but reports say it is more than verbal now..

Ok Sonic fans where do we go now? My vote is Terry Porter...

Flip Saunders (seems like he is waiting for Detroit, but Seattle could be a nice second option) or (darkhorse) Paul Silas?

Bowser said:

oooohh I forgot about Silas! Has ties to Seattle as well!

Yeah, I want Silas back in Charlotte. I just think coach AND gm is too much for Bernie Bickerstaff to handle and somewhat of a conflict of interest.

seattle is so fucked now for a coach.

if nate was going to leave, then seattle should have try to keep casey. but casey signs with the wolves and nate signs with the blazers. Now there is a void in the staff.

Only real strong coach is Bob Weiss, but he is more of a backseat type of coach.

ugggg, seattle is screwed.

Wow, NBA TV has actually proven itself useful the past few days. I finally got the '87, '88, '89, 91, and '92 All-Star games on tape. :D

Yeah, too bad NBATV thinks the only games Jordan ever played in were 98 Finals Game 6 and 97 Finals Game 5. He played 15 years, show something else!

Seriously...

It's awesome watching guys like Hakeem, Ewing, DRob, and Tim Hardaway when they were young. Hardaway was ridiculous! Jordan makes crazy plays at least 5-7 times per game-- he was nuts. What really strikes you when you watch the older All-Star games is that they REALLY played tough defense; it wasn't like today where they sorta just let each other do whatever they want. But it was still fast-paced and exciting, since you had great passers like Isiah and Magic running the show.
