What'd I tell you...........the Mets are too good a hitting team not score runs on them when you can.

I'm done with this team. We've got Dontrelle tomorrow. We'll now be 5-6 since the 6-1 start. Our htting is absolutely terrible. The bulpen ain't as good as advertised. We have to see Redman out there every 5th game.

They will not win more than 81 games.

Stop being such a drama queen, siamese. I'm a Mets fan and it's annoying; I can only imagine what your fellow Braves fans think of it.

Bush looking like a cy young pitcher against the Stros :|

The Mets hitting lineup is ****ing sick. I still can't wrap my head around how the Mets and Yanks are able to afford all star players at every position.

Lack of a salary cap, most likely.

Big markets can afford big players which in turn gives them more money to spend on more big players. It's a cycle that unfortunately makes things a bit unfair for smaller market teams.

EDIT - Nice play, Green.

Dude. Zoloft. So you don't kill us'all.

Also many of the Mets players are on the cheap. Reyes/Wright are really cheap. Delgado was traded to us and we gave back good prospects. Maine/Perez/El Duque were a result of us having a shrewd GM. Alou is signed for $8 mil.

To be honest, I'm usually lurker... but it's so annoying. To the point of making me post even.

The "sky if falling" crap every time the Braves lose a game is getting old. It's April 22. Come on... seriously.

And at the same time, if you have a good GM/farm system/lucky year, all it takes is one year.

White Sox went from middle market to above market team just because of 2005. Last year they went from 17th in attendance to 9th, increasing by 700,000. That extra money from attendance, plus the national publicity that comes with it, allows the team to spend more money. In theory, this allows the team to be better year after year, though it's not always the case, obviously.

But I think it's safe to say, any team that has the knowledge to compete can, and eventually will. Oakland is a prime example of this. On the other end of the spectrum, you have the DRays.

That's it. This team sucks. We can't hold a lead. Our starting pitching is a joke and our bullpen is nowhere near last year's level. Our lineup can score as much as it wants, but we're still going to finish 3rd or worse. We still can't beat the Braves. **** this.

...SIAMESE?

I'm so angry about that inning. So many lousy mistakes. Green with the error, Schoenweis giving up the walk, Willie leaving him in to pitch to the right-handed Renteria after that. Just, ugh....

The pitcher's version of a slump-buster is starting against the Astros.

:(

OMG. This isn't even funny. How are the Braves getting these calls when no Met pitcher is? That 3rd strike call on Wright is bananas.

And on that note, I'm headed back to Philly. Hopefully the Mets pull this out. I'll be following on radio. PEACE.

when the hell is Lance's bat going to show up :(

ITT everyone thinks their team will lose every game, all of the time
Hell no, just this one. We've made a shit-ton of mistakes.

And as I was typing this, Heilman just hit a batter to put a runner in scoring position.

Hahahah AJ was halfway to the dugout before the ump called it a strike

God damnit please win this game. Losing in extras after we had the sweep in our hands is not a good way to leave Detroit.
