Didn't see the game, but looked like Lincecum calmed down a lot and kept things under control. Good for him. Can't be easy to make a rebound start in Coors. With his stuff and makeup and stuff, I'm confident we haven't seen anything yet.

OKay gang, here is my super-sexual 14 manager fantasy team. Currently in 2nd place, a hair's breath from first, possibly there already with an amazing hitting night and a so-so pitching night.

C Brian McCann
1B Prince Fielder
2B Felipe Lopex
3B BJ Upton
SS Carlos Guillén
CI Scott Thorman
OF Carl Crawford
OF Andruw Jones
OF Austin Kearns
Util Curtis Granderson
Util Chris B Young
BN Ray Durham
DL Jeremy Hermida
DL Akinori Iwamura

SP Jered Weaver
SP Erik Bedard
RP Francisco Rodríguez
RP Brian Fuentes
P Brett Myers
P Tim Lincecum
P Joakim Soria
BN Brad Penny
BN Ervin Santana
BN Kelvim Escobar

The problem is, I've set up my lineup almost perfectly, and have serious talent coming back SOON. When Iwamura is back I will probably drop Thorman, who's mostly a placeholder. But what do I do with Hermida? I can't really sit on him and see how well he does without dropping someon else. I might just drop Durham, since his trade value is near negligible, and Hermida has so much potential. I doubt I'll be able to swing much worth speaking of on the trade front, and ESantana and maybe Penny are the only pitchers I'd consider upgading (although Penny might be for real, I'm undecided, and ESantana can obviously do a lot better).

Hrm.

Anyways. As you were.

WTF are you doing Saito?!??!?!?!

Edit: SAITO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways Wolfy with a great performance! and the Offense continues to stumble.

Larry King sighting!

****. That was embarrassing. Once Cohen said, "And the runners are gonna have to hold..." I knew the Brewers were going to end up getting at least one run. But two...shit.

What's the deal with Pelfrey? Wasn't he touted as throwing in the mid/high 90's?

Consider me not impressed.
No, he's more known for getting ground ball outs with a hard sinker and pounding the ball in the lower half of the zone. However his control was been really off and with only a sinker/fastball/slider to throw, he's being shelled.

This is some bullsh*t. I keep saying this, until they do right by Mike Pelfrey no good will come to any other highly touted rookie making their first appearance. Homer Bailey is officially on watch.

Or maybe mike pelfrey just blows chunks and you're going to be waiting a while?

edit: My god Papelbon looks like a clone of his mother.

Pelfrey throws in the high 90's but Peterson has reigned him in so has better control of his pitches. It worked in Spring training but he's been MIA since then.

I see the Brewers losing this game. They had so many chances and couldn't capitalize.

Edit: Newhan hit that HR right as Cohen was describing his miserable start. :D

Yeah, so I guess the game last night was just an illusion.
Let's see who wins the series. If you guys don't you'll be like 0-3 against division leading teams in series so far this year- I call that not being able to beat good teams.

any M's fans know where i can DL jeff nelson's radio show? he's going to have (or just had) torre and jeter on and that's probably going to be a good listen.

jeff nelson is great behind the mic. he's going to have a long career with that.

I bet the guy in the crowd who stole the fly ball from Beltre feels like a total idiot now. Instead of being out, Matsui just hit a double and sent Giambi to third base.

Good going, dumbass.
