Not that I dislike Salty, but McCannimal shouldve been in there batting 5th, not Diaz....I mean whats with all the replacements playing today (woodward, prado, salty)? Didn't theyhave a day off 2 days ago?

We're facing OMG a LEFT HANDED PITCHER, so all of our righties MUST GET A START. One of the things Bobby does too much. Sigh.

Yet I doubt they'll start tomorrow against Glavine, another lefty.
I believe Bobby just wants to annoy us with his scrappy player preference

It's obvious Bobby just wants to shield the Braves' lefties from the destructive force that is Oliver Perez. In time, they may be able to face him ... in time.

always in the fight wit' DAVID WRIGHT!!

EDIT: Sexy LoDuca with the two-bagger!! See what happens when Delgado actually is moved down and Mets don't face a POS like Kyle Davies?

Garland's giving up soft singles all over the ****ing place. Luck is pretty much the only reason he's only given up 1 run.

Good job by Oliver Perez there. He's just raring back and throwing fastballs. He had some good off-speed pitches there but he's not throwing it as much or with the same control as in past starts. Since he's thrown 88 pitches Perez might only go 6 innings but Atlanta isn't hitting him.

They're just not hitting him when runners are on base, they have had their chances tonight

I believe 1-10 and 0-7 with them in scoring position

Yep. He doesn't have his A game today but he's adjusting pretty well. I'm with you-maybe one more inning, maybe abit less? If he walks someone or gives up an extra base hit early on then I say bring on the bullpen.

(edit)...oh wait...he's only thrown 5 :lol
Let him keep going then.

Good last (?) inning for Perez, he's done at 107 pitches I think. He hung about every off-speed pitch that inning and still did a job on Francoeur and Diaz. That's the mark of a pitcher not having his best stuff and gutting through. Glavine and Pedro do it routinely and if he learns it ... goddamn.

EDIT: Moises Alou and Orlando Hernandez need to get healthy like right now.

Holy sh1t after a leadoff single Perez just made Woodward and Kelly Johnson look bad on K's. Now a foulout by Prado and NOW his night's done at 122 pitches . . . damn what an outing tonight.

Well, it looks like the Braves will once again fail to solve the enigma that is Oliver Perez. *sigh*

I thought we were looking good earlier in the game, too. So it goes. It's ok though, tomorrow we have Smoltzie vs. The Traitor Round 3.

Its hard to believe Joe Smith is a rookie, the guy was drafted last freakin' year and is almost always lights out when he comes in.

GOD BLESS JOE SMITH:)

God Braves announcing is horrible tonight.

"David Newhan's a believer, saying wow at 97 MPH..."

um no, he was audibly saying he was called out on a bs strike call.

If you have mlb.tv, watch the top of the 9th in the Tigers/Angels game, right after Vlad GIDPs.

A kid is on the field, can't be more than 12. He actually approaches Todd Jones on the mound, and then the last you see is him running off with a really fat man chasing him :lol :lol :lol :lol
