Why he is still batting 3rd is beyond me... Oh Grady you....:)

No idea, I was hoping that he would be in the 6th spot once he came back. Damn Kuo, How do you walk the damn pitcher? This is what is keeping him from being a decent 4th or 5th starter, Way too many walks.

Old man Kent, sigh time Abreu to take over!

This is his last year so next year hopefully the Dodgers give Abreu 2nd base from the start. Kent still has his offense but he is a big liability defensively, Too slow fielding his position.

Thank goodness. He has no arm too.

This Mets team really sucks right now. I mean, can anyone but Wright work a count? Gomez bunting out on the first pitch leading off after Maine gave up three bombs in a row pretty much sums it all up.

Winning with Wright in an awful slump. Losing when he's playing well.

Delgado and Beltran need to step it up.

That Maine bunt sums up the last two weeks

Just got home from work and heard about the Verlander no hitter :O

F the haters; Tigers are going back to the World Series this year :D

(you guys can go back to your Mets, Yankees, Braves, etc. talk now) :lol

I blame Gibbons, Burnett has been throwing like 120 pitches a game, last time out he threw like 130+ pitches .

Man, I feel sorry for Cubs fan. Actually I feel sorry for Lou, that team is just a mess.

Oh well, M's are playing some good baseball.. Especially when teams give them breaks like Barret.

Might wanna worry a bout winning the division first

Of course I'm worried about that. However, I'm confident that we are going to make the post-season, even if it is via the Wild Card berth. Once we get back Rogers (could be amazing or could be shitty, most likely shitty ) and Zumaya we'll be set. :D

It won't be easy, of course, but they'll do it.

Saito is a filthy filthy man. Good game for Kuo again, This time he got some offensive support and gets him his 1st win. Betemit is above the mendoza line for the 1st time this year. WOO!

To be fair, Jacque Jones held onto the ball an extra 3 seconds and then 4 bounced it home from SHALLOW ****ING RIGHT. So I don't place the blame on Barrett completely.

Any kind of decent throw has Vidro out by 10 feet.

The worst thing about these losses is that we have to wait until 10pm the next night to see them play again. I ****ing hate west coast games.

Considering Seattle and Oakland aren't going away any time soon and the Angels would have to be historically bad from here on out to lose the division, the WC isn't the best fall back plan for the Tigers.

And just like that, the Phils are only 3 games back of the free falling Mets and the sucking Braves. This stretch of interleague play is gonna be rough on us. Gotta face Johan and Sabathia on back to back nights. :( Why couldn't we play the White Sox?

... this is a horrible stretch. Then Mets last year at this time had the West Coast swing where they went 10-1 and started the streak of running away with the Division. Roughly a year later the Mets are struggling, Alou is out for the foreseeable future, and no Pedro. The bullpen is struggling of late w/ Heilman inconsisent, Smith pitching rocky, Sanchez hurt, and Schoeneweis a complete joke (but pitching hurt). It's a bit scary that outside of Paul LoDuca the Mets don't seem to be playing with urgency... I think the loss of Cliff Floyd hurts right now because he was the vocal leader of the Mets back then and the man to call a players-only meeting to clear the air and fire the team up. Also this would have been Lastings Milledge time if he wasn't hurt in AAA, Carlos Gomez just should not be up now.

It's looking more apparent that the Mets may make a move to acquire a OF at the deadline. They'd need a RH bat since they are already lefty heavy, and some interesting names that have been thrown out there are Jermaine Dye and Xavier Nady... but this needs to stop. The Mets have now lost their fourth consecutive series now, and they took months to lose 2 consecutive last year. The last four games they'd scored first, and lost ALL of them. This needs to stop, seriously. The Braves are 2 back, the Phillies are 3 back (don't think the have the pen but Mets pen ain't great now), and the Marlins are FIVE BACK. I'm very worried about the Marlins because their pitching is very good and if they get on another late '06-type run, this Division chase will get very interesting. Someone has to call a players-only meeting and wake this team up. If ever there was a time where the people needed heroes, that time is now . . .

that time is now . . .

THAT TIME IS NOW . . .

Seriously, you guys need pitching more than hitting. I wouldn't count on anything out of Pedro this year, Glavine looks his age for a change and Sosa has at most probably 5 more decent starts in him.

Abreu makes the Yankees offense comically long.
Wang is back to being Cy Wang.
Rivera is nigh-unhittable again.

Back at .500, still making our move. If we can get within 6 games or so by the end of June, there is going to be hell to pay.

Let's keep it moving.

ALSO LOL METS
ALSO LOLidge.

Wang has been pretty impressive as of late. He's had more than a few starts where he gives up 1 run over 6 or 7 innings and the rest of the game is pretty easy going.

I mean, he's almost the exact opposite of moose, who will just suddenly implode and is so constantly bothered by stupid shit. Oh, and ump blew a call? Home run to the next batter. Jeter made an error? Home run to the next batter. Melky dropped a ball? Home run to the next six batters.

Moose is a great pitcher and over his Yankee service he's had like a 3.5 ERA and pitched tons of innings, but damn if that guy isn't a headcase. Why is everyone on this team a headcase?

Jesus Christ Mets can you pleas win games you guys been playing like last place baseball for the past two weeks. Where is the offense can they actually do something their always striking out or not scoring runner from scoring position. They might not make the playoffs if they keep on pulling this shit.
