Hey fellow Jays fans. I used to be a HUGE fan since about 1983 and lost MAJOR interest after the strike of 1994 in not only the Jays...but baseball in general.

Do you guys think that this is J.P.'s last season? I've been amazed how long he's stuck around for with such a mediocre record. I was also looking at the Jays stats and they have a team total of 26 steals??!! :lol That is just horrible. No idea why a guy with the talent of Vernon Wells can keep doing so shitty...

In terms of the 1st point you are one of many. That strike really killed a lot of interest in the Jays, obviously the Jays sucking every year 1995 and beyond, the addition of the Raptors and the Leafs not sucking anymore did help contribute to that too.

To the second point I doubt JP is fired anytime soon, Rogers and Godfrey seem to like him. Most likely Gibbons will be the casualty for this shitty season. Wells is a good player but he is wildly inconsistent. There is also the fact that early in the year he switched to a heavier bat and also apparently screwed up his batting stance. He has just fixed that recently and seems to finally be getting out of his slump. And about steals, the Jays don't steal or sacrifice. They aren't built to either, the only players capable of stealing bases are Rios (who has the green light), Wells (only if he gets a good jump, he also can run whenever he wants) and Adams (who is a bust and is down in AAA).

Thanks for the info dude....the sad thing is that even if I was given "free" seats to a game...I still wouldn't go...it's very sad because at one time I was a bigger Jays fan than a Leafs one and I knew where EVERY player played in the league...to me baseball lost something after the strike...very hard to describe...them juicing the balls and their players never was enough to bring me back...I still cheer on Ken Griffey Jr from afar though:D

Edgar Ramirez looked absolutely filthy today. Strikes out the side in his major league debut with one of the best change ups I've ever seen. I know it's only one game, but I like this guy already.

His minor league numbers are sick. Between AA and AAA, a 0.62 ERA in 43.1 IP, 18 BB... and 80 K. Yeah, that's right, 80 K. Sexy :D

The Anti-Christ himself Scott BorA$$ is in attendance to night........hopefully he'll get drilled by a foul ball or broken bat.
I wonder if his brain is bleeding from Andruw's shitty walk year.

Also: w00t Francouer!

NICE! That's about the first time I've actually seen Betemit connect and it not be a HR. :lol That was a great piece of hitting there.

Damn, I'm not so sure I agree with the idea to pull Wolf. He struggled that inning, but he could pull it back together and is always a good K threat. Oh well, ya gotta now with 1st and 3rd. Thought for sure that would tie it up.. come on Andre, show your stuff bud.

This Phillies/Astros game just got interesting. Phillies are already out of position players and have Cole Hamels pinch-hitting, and Ruiz just hurt himself running up the line.

wow Albers got out of that mess without giving up a run :o

HUNTER PENCE IS THE F-ING MAN!

GW WALK OFF HR :D rookie is the shit.
