Oh man, if somehow the Mets failed to make the playoffs and the Yankees made the playoffs...the ultimate divine shin ownage ex plus alpha of Frankman would be too much to handle. I actually think I'd go blind :lol

Unfortunately, I can't cosign Jimmy Rollins and his endlessly running mouth.
Stand strong Mets, and ignore the inane rantings of your more...interesting fans.

Theres only one Mets fan who is the champion of inanenity.

Hahahah I can't believe they blew that. After the 5 run eighth I turned it off

edit: And I am so on the Phillies bandwagon. Time to live vicariously through Gooch and Rowand.

And I stated this like 2 months ago but I'm also rooting for the Mariners in the AL.

didn't realize the yankees were playing so early today. nice that they got the sweep.

that 1-3 series against the slumping tigers really hurts.

checking out the schedules the rest of the way, new york doesn't have it rough but it looks like boston has the easiest road ahead. in the wild card, seattle has what i think is a brutal schedule down the stretch.

calm down Mets fans...such doom and gloom. You guys will be fine and you will win the division...geez.
I really don't think we will, actually. We're down to a 2 game lead, the wheels have fallen off our pitching, our offense is terribly inconsistent, we're making stupid mistakes on fundamentals like baserunning, and management is asleep at the wheel.

I can already tell you this upcoming series with the Braves isn't gonna go well.

Mets will win the division. I'll wear a Mets avatar for the playoffs if they don't. Any Met fan can decide which one.

On a similar note, I will not be participating in an avatar bet for this series. Mostly because I feel I'll lose again.

Im watching the Mets game now because I couldnt watch it this afternoon...did Willie really think that a 6 out save was a good idea?

So is that the reason you have an Atlanta avatar?

I think Mets will be lucky to win a game this weekend. This team isn't looking too good shitty bullpen, inconsistent offensive isn't going to do much. Hopefully they'll get wild card spot. :(

Why the fuck did that coach bring in Rick White?! :lol That guy sucks so bad.

BALLGAME

Indians still 4.5 up and have now won 11 of the last 14 games.

This is all backward! We're supposed to be making the avatar bets!

I'm serious. One of you mets fans write it down. I'll be a mets fan for a month! I won't even laugh when Carlos Delgado embarrasses himself at the plate four consecutive times.

Fine, the Mets got swept, but the Phillies have been close before and sputtered...and the braves....they've been 2-3 games back all season and haven't done shit.

I bet non-plus ERA is a heretical metric like victories now for a pitcher.

REALLY TAKING THIS TOO FAR NOW

Christ Almighty! Brandon Phillips FTW, literally. He is as good if not better than Joe Morgan. Book it.

Indians got nothing in return for him. :(

You wouldn't believe the angst that is generated among Indians fans over that name. It's gotten so bad, many of us call him "he who shall not be named".

Well, if I recall, they didn't really have a place on the team, and at that point, he was kinda meh. It's just lucky for us, unlucky for Cleveland, I suppose. A player like him could push the team deep in the playoffs. Sucks he's wasting it playing for the Reds of late. If he was in a large market, he would be the toast of the town. However, because he plays for Cincinnati, he will never win a gold glove like he deserves.
