Wow, this is crappy news for Encarnacion.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/news/story?id=3002503

mlb.com reports:

Encarnacion is still hospitalized and will remain so for at least another day or two. Paletta, the Cardinals' head team physician, said that Encarnacion is able to recognize some light with his left eye and that he's shown improvement in that regard over the past day, an encouraging sign that means his optic nerve has not been fully severed. Nonetheless, Encarnacion's situation remains extremely serious.

Sorry I posted this before but...

Anyone wanna do a fantasy football league for mlb gaffers?

Clay Buchholz, a righthander from Angelina Junior College in Texas, was taken last summer with a first-round sandwich pick by the Sox, as other teams passed because Buchholz had been arrested for stealing 29 laptops from his high school and selling them.

Did you just seriously say that a 2-1 game in the 4th inning was over? Your awareness of your evil powers is frightening.

Clemens had NOTHING from the start and anyone watching could see that. This game had to be won on offense but they keep GIDP. Sad...

It's only the FOURTH INNING. I sure do love it when fatass Clemens fails though.

Mussina strikes out one and gets out of the inning after letting go of a double. Not bad, considering it's his first regular season relief appearance in a million starts. I'm hoping he can prove he can get back into it today so I can have some confidence in him when Joe puts him back into the rotation, because without proof of improvement (this relief appearance will do), I don't want him back in there quite yet. Not until we're sure of him.

And Cloudy, stop being so negative. It's as if you want us to lose this game. We do have bats, you know. They have made magic happen in previous games.

Zambrano is going to lose again since inking that new contract.

So he'll be 0-5 with an ERA near 10 since the deal was done. Nice job Big Z.

Glad to see Milwaukees bullpen choking another game away. Brewers down 9-7 going into the bottom 9th.

Holy crap game is already on! Damn California rolling black out!

Edit: I hope the Dodgers don't blow their load in this one game.

Edit2: That was a close play for the Cub outfield D.

Yeah I thought the first 3 games were night games.. hoping to try and get a ticket to Tuesday or Wednesday's game. Cross your fingers for me!

A bit surprised Loaiza came up to bat in the 7th, but I guess he's had plenty of rest!
