It doesn't matter, for LORD HUGHES is coming to rape and pillage alongside him soon.
Not necessarily. Rumors are currently circulating that Cashman is interested in trading Hughes for Mark Redman.

4 for 5 with 2 homers and 4 runs.... and the Yanks still lose 10-8.

"I.... I'm not sure what else I can do. I guess I could *try* pitching..."

At this point, I'm sure he could do better than Igawa....

Damn it is 4-3 cubs now.

Prince crushed that.

Another Cubs choke job? :(
YES! That makes Fielder, Granderson and Upton all going deep for me tonight. Fantasy O waking back up!

Now if only Bedard and younger Weaver would stop acting like dumbasses.

gawd igawa is so shitty.

there is some ineffable sinking feeling about watching your team score inning after inning and still lose.

it's sisyphean

Okay a few things.

Like Calder I am laughing it up about picking A-Rod in my main league. But I had the NINTH overall pick. :lol

A-Rod just hit 14 homers in April... but THERE ARE SEVEN DAYS LEFT IN APRIL. This is ridiculous.

I really don't think Philip Hughes will have a good day on Thursday.

I could do what Kei Igawa does for half the price.

If there's any consolation in the fact that WTY has succumbed to the Weaver Suck Gene it's that Joe Saunders can be called up to replace him. Sometimes it's nice to have the opposite problem the Yankees have.

Well. Look at it this way. Even with all the pitching in the world you guys still struggle to even make the post season, if you make it.

I'm not a fan of the current situation, I'm just trying to find SOME silver lining.

Dear jeebus. We need a bail out button now. This game has wasted my hour of precious time. WTY out in less than 2 IP?! If only we could hinge on the possibility for a comeback...
but alas...

Where is he looking at? Shouldn't there be regulations on player photos? I've seen a lot of crooked caps too.

I'm going to go get the car to drive Melky to scranton. I'll pick wellington, joe, jman, and mcblack up on the way there (and whoever I'm missing). We'll stuff Melky and Shitgawa in the trunk.

Sign me up if I can do my best impression of A-Rod on Mint-K's head.

Ya know... maybe Detroit is just what Shea needs to finally wake up.
Just like the rest of the team was to Seattle or Texas.

... nah. What am I saying.

Yankees beat reporter Bryan Hoch, answering a question on why Phil Hughes hasn't been called up:

"While the Yankees see Hughes as a major part of their future, they've made a conscious decision not to rush him. Torre said that they might call upon Hughes later in the year after he's compiled some more work at Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre."

"Yankees to start Hughes on Thursday"

........

lol

So I just got back from the Marlins - Braves game. I must say that I was moving arounf the entire stadium and eventually became quite popular with the players. Miguel Cabrerra got very angry at me for screaming "hey Cabrerra, you need to loose some weight, but we still love you" in spanish over and over. Got into a fight with some people telling us to shut up, and had a lond chat with Taylor Tankersly. By the time I was drunk as hell, all the players already knew where me and my cousin were sitting (both teams knew), and Miguel Cabrerra screams back in spanish: "How is that for fat?". I tipped my hat to him and he to us. We moved around the whole ball bark sitting behind 1st then behind home and last behind thrid.

The people were already telling us to "shut the **** up" and I would tell them to **** off. Heh, good thing Marlins pulled through!

I think Miguel heard soo many times us screaming to hold his mouth and loose weight, that he might actually do so! :lol

At least at the end he knew we were just joking.

Philly fans, got to love them :\

Philly fans get unruly with Astros OF Scott

PHILADELPHIA — Astros outfielder Luke Scott was harassed throughout Monday night at Citizens Bank Park by unruly fans who threw coins and hot dogs at him from the right field bleachers.

At one point in the eighth inning, play was actually stopped after a fan almost hit Scott in the face with a hot dog, prompting Scott to inform the umpires. Manager Phil Garner also came out of the dugout to speak with the umpires after the incident.

"The one that they threw just about hit me to the face," Scott said. "It was getting too close. But you have to forgive them and move on.

GIVE INTO THE DARKSIDE LUKE!

"The umpire's like, 'What's happening?' I said, 'They're throwing coins and hot dogs in my direction. If they want to throw stuff whatever. But if it's a couple inches from my head, that's not right. They did say that they were taking someone (out of the stadium)."

:lol :lol

Did he do anything to piss them off? Because if not, unprovoked hotdog throwing is pretty darn special if you ask me.

Jeez....Not back until at least June 15. Hopefully this team can stay somewhat close in the meantime, and starts hitting again. Can we borrow A Rod on his days off?

Also: there's a new leader in the best mlb.com picture competition.

Normally I would agree with this.. but they are playing Texas.

True and we seem to own Texas this year. I wanted them to play cause Texas had Kata in LF. You know that was going to be awesome.
