We fixed the league sliders and homers are not an issue. My ALDS with Detroit had two 1-0 games. Too bad that's the closest the Yankees will get to the playoffs this year :lol

Show is not better than 2k7 and I'm not just saying that cos it's uglier than xbox1 baseball games...

After playing it extensively, I can definitely say that The Show *is* better than 2k7. Except online, where the ps3 version is useless as of now. But The Show with modified sliders is really fantastic.

What makes it better? Definitely not the gfx, presentation or the pitching interface. It simply cannot possibly be better since 2K7 kills it in those three departments..

I approve of this as the new mets fans victory post.

what can I say? The Reds have returned to being the Reds, so they've sapped my will to care/hate on any team until the playoffs. Which they'll never get to.

Yeah, the actual gameplay and play options couldn't have anything to do with it, right?

I've played both games and while I think 2K7 has better gameplay and options, I was trying to point out the inarguable areas where 07 fails compared to 2K7 which make being "better" impossible...

BTW Cloudy in The Show the presentation is better right off the bat. The commentary is awesome and takes awhile to ever become repetitive. Hell the SOUNDTRACK is better (Alexisonfire FTW). Not to mention Road to the Show owns. Stupid EA could learn a thing. In spring training I hit .270 with 1 HR and 18 RBIs at 2B, good enough to beat out Jose Valentin right? BUT NOOOOOOO!! This is Cyber Willie Randolph and he doesn't bring me up from AAA!! Why? Because everybody knows Willie doesn't play guys who don't put out for him.

Tavarez just rolled a ball to 1st base to get an out...it was fantastic :) :lol :lol

He is pitching great so far, can't complain for a 5th starter

Pitching interface is almost exactly the same, except your command of each pitch increases as you use them more, instead of the effectiveness. Graphics I'll give you, but 60 FPS is really nice, and the animation in Show is miles ahead of 2k7. Presentation, I agree, 2k7 is better.

The Show is better in every other way. Pitching is better, because you don't have perfect command of your pitches. In 2k7, as long as you can get the timing right, you pitch exactly where you want to. That's not realistic at all. Hitting is WAY better than 2k7. The fact that in 2k7 we'd regularly get 15 Ks per game, and so many HRs should tell you that much, even with the power gimped in the sliders. Check swings being doable help a lot, and hit variety is great. Fielding - again, much better. Dives and jumping catches are much more satisfying. Double plays can actually be broken up.

:lol at all the responses over baseball games.

Damnit to hell though- Forza2 is about to release very soon and I still need to pay off my HD tv I bought. I think I'm gonna go with the Show anyways,my fellow Mets fan are giving it a thumbs up so I think I'm taken care of. I'm gonna hold onto MLB2K7 as well so that I can compare the two,I can always sell it later if I don't want it any longer.

Link-I hate that the Mets don't put these teams away when that window of opportunity is there. To me I'm still seeing that ghostly Mets teams from the NLCS of last year.
Best not to make a habbit of leaving those bases loaded too often, that will bite us in the long run.

That's my concern as well.

Mets
Red Sox
Angels

I wasn't counting. Just commenting on a little three game swing in the AL East.

Could be six tonight if the Tribe pull through, though.

sure

NEW YORK — The New York Yankees might have the most fans, but they don't have the best fans. So says Angels shortstop Orlando Cabrera.

"They don't appreciate good baseball," he said. "They just appreciate the Yankees beating up on everybody."

"In Boston, they admire baseball," Cabrera said. "In Anaheim, those fans are some of the best in baseball. They know you care there. They know you can't do it every day. I appreciate that.

"These people here, they're mean. And they're really mean to the other team."

He still wants $50 over face for tickets that seem less and less likely to exist. That is balls right there. Of course if the Yankees can pull off the wild card this will look like a pretty sweet deal.

Um. That's why it's funny.

Well stranger things have happened so yeah you can't rule the Yankees out. A trade here,a trade there,a few injuries to some of those contending wild card teams, its possible I suppose. The guy is really pushing it right now with trying to unload playoff tickets, especially with the Yankees play of late.

Good grief.

Cubs are going to lose ANOTHER extra inning one run game.

I think this will make the Cubs 2-14 in one run games.

I thought the law of averages said this shit should even out?

Another one run loss coming wooooooooo.

MAKE THE DODGERS AT LEAST ATTEMPT ONE HIT YOU AHOLES.

Christ.

3 walks, hit by pitch, game over. GREAT BULLPEN JOB JACKASSES.
