I cant believe it...We couldn't have made the DP anyway, and he does that. It was a tie game.

shut the fuck up Phillies are gonna choke like they always do. Because there fucking losers.

:D

i heard the guys doing the play by play on espn say the yanks were going easy on Joba so he wouldn't get hurt and they could make him into a starter...

but i figured he would take over for Rivera in the next year or two...

so which is it?

:lol :lol at Drew's stats against Farnsworth.

Jesus guys, we've heard the Joba rules enough. Can't we talk about something fresh like the Vick case?

Ah well, good game!

Don't we have a prospect to replace JD Drew though?

now now, you can't just buy players and dispose of them when they're no good!

you have to export them to japan. like us!

Back tied for the Wild Card. Excellent.

Indians, please contribute to the continuation of the Mariners' regression towards their mean.

Also, the Joba Rules are law. Now we get to use him tomorrow for the last game of this series. Good times.

Glad we're slowly but surely righting the ship.. LOVE the Loaiza pick up. I think if he stays healthy for the rest of the year, he can make a huge impact. Time to waive Bumko and Lurch.. immediately.

p.s. Who knew Proctor would pitch so well for us? And hahahaha at the BoSox for the JD Drew situation. Traitor is performing like I expected.

Indians have a rookie pitching tomorrow night (Laffey). Ground ball pitcher and the Tribe is starting to swing the bats ... could go either way.

We are now 4 games ahead of the Tigers. Playoff tickets go on sale Friday. :D

Running out to pitch the bottom of the 7th and Shepherd comes on to introduce Kate Smith's God Bless America, and Beckett scoffs as he hears it and gives a facial expression of, "Oh, we have to go through this fucking shit again?!"

That's AWESOME. :lol

Slolsh Beckett is the biggest douche on Earth.

edit: nvm, it appears as if our friends at NYYTards.com are posting their personal opinions as quotes now. What a stupid website :lol

Pretty much what Tamanon said but there was a man on 3rd with 1out and we had no way of getting green at 1st.
And that Marlon Anderson still touched 2nd, negating the "blatant" part. CB Bucknor needs to just take off the disguise and show that he is in fact really Angel Hernandez.

The official rule is very much a judgement call, and if CB was actually in position where he could see first he doesn't call it.

:lol he didnt touch shit...it was so blatant. They were gonna score anyway!

I guess the HD setup with TiVo was wrong then ... but hey, what do I and slo-mo know? Marlon was a 2nd baseman himself, but it's not like he knows what interference is!

No HD needed.

nothing like playing the red sox to avoid a serious slump :D

mariners :lol

the yankees can handle the indians and red sox in the playoffs no problem just gotta watch out for the halos.

Phillies fucking suck, and all of there stupid fans are gonna get excited, and at the last week of the season there going to choke like usual.

Already slid past bag there.

Let me refresh your memory. Last Friday, Padres vs. Phils where the Phillies' baserunner goes in high, late and nearly breaks Marcus Giles knee. Benches empty, Milton Bradley looks to choke a b!tch but everything calms down. If no interference was called for that, then there can't be interference here; especially with the mitigating factor umps sometimes don't even call it if it doesn't have a bearing on the play. Bucknor couldn't determine it because his back was to first.

Qwerty, seriously. Really not helping the cause here.

You really do put the "douche" in "douche bag".

It was as if I heard thousands of Puget Sounds scream out in terror and then... silence.

Joba is to be a starter.

The Joba Rules were created to allow him to get his feet wet in the majors as a reliever, and keep his arm healthy so he can go into next season training to become a starter. This strategy worked in the development of Pedro, Johan Santana, and many other good pitchers in the league, so they're using it for him.

Rivera still owns; no one's replacing him for a while. Should Joba fail as a starter though, you've got to believe they'd give him a crack at being the next closer after Mo retires circa 2009...

A lights out setup man is more important than a #4 or #5 starter.

Is there any small sample size that Yankees fans don't like? Jesus, talk about hyperkinetic fanbase. You're already comparing the guy to Pedro and Santana. LOLtastic.

Doesnt help marlon's case when he said, "my foot was on the bag when I hit him."
