I like GA because he plays a good game... but he also seems like a good person. He doesn't have an ego that sometimes comes with the better players.

The Rick Ankiel story was just too good, y'know? The guy is like the fucking Natural or something, and then all of a sudden he's a cheater? It would actually break my heart, I think.
 
I really don't know if I buy people whining about disillusionment with the game over steroids. I guess I could see it with Bonds, but the annoying babies at all the various fansites are like, "Well if ANKIEL is doping than I don't know who to root for boaoaohaohbow wah wah wha."

Oh stop crying. You're rooting for him because he's hitting home runs. Maybe he should take some more.

That probably is the case, he took them after he suffered all those injuries and now look at him, he can barely walk anymore.

Just more reason why the players of today are babies. They can't do shit without help. Smaller ballparks, juiced ball, juiced players and only 3 people were able to top 61. Geez what a bunch of losers.

So can we now drop this "You still need to be able to hit the ball and steroids don't help you to hit HRs routine" that people feel the need to shout every time steroids/HGH is brought up. Everyone who believed that can now eat their words because its OBVIOUS that steroids do help or 3/4 of the league wouldn't be on them and Ankiel wouldn't have went from pitcher who couldn't hit the side of a barn to the next Babe Ruth.

He's still 8 billion times more useful than his supposed replacement, that blubbering vagina Dallas McPherson.

As for Troy I honestly wouldn't be surprised in the least he was using performance enhancers prior to his body completely breaking down. Unfortunately you can say that about almost anyone that hit 40+ homers in the Steroid Era, especially if their body mysteriously went to shit.

To be fair, for every played like Ankiel who has been involved, you get a bunch of shitty AAAA all-stars that it did absolutely nothing for.

Obviously the one bit missing from the Buchholz story was that he was stealing the laptops to give to underprivileged inner-city youths.
