Where do you go to college?Karakand said:So I haven't played baseball in... well forever. (I pretty much quit cold turkey when I stopped with little league.) Anyways, I just tried out the baseball section of Wii Sports and god damn I'm feeling like I've denied myself something wonderful for so long. I was leaning towards getting the PSDeuce version of Power Pro Baseball but now I'm starting to think I'd enjoy the Wii version 10 billion times more with the waggle.
That and I guess I should go find out if there's an intramural league at my college. I'm sure my fielding (which was never my strong suit) is even more terrible than my hitting. :lol

Ahh man. Same here. Didn't play much, but boy was it fun. (Bah! But totally got screwed by an ump in the last game that would make or break our team getting into the playoffs. Sob story!) I was a pretty crap player though. I think... haha.Karakand said:So I haven't played baseball in... well forever. (I pretty much quit cold turkey when I stopped with little league.) So satisfying.
It's like eating Snickers bars while getting head from Jessica Alba in a bathtub filled with Jello.

I said it was cool that it got you wanting to play baseball again, though!Karakand said:

Former Philadelphia Phillies general manager Ed Wade is the new general manager in Houston, sources said Thursday.
ALT HERE
Wade
Wade was in Houston on Thursday. Indications earlier in the day were that while club president Tal Smith apparently had recommended Wade, owner Drayton McLane hadn't made up his mind yet.
By Thursday afternoon, his mind was made up. The Astros have called a 4 p.m. ET news conference.
Not worried then and I'm not worried now. Even by the miraculous chance the Yanks make the playoffs I still have the Gaming Board to post on and will enjoy another Yakquis el foldo in the first round by the hands of the Los Angeles Angels Township of Anaheim Southern Baptist Province Down By The River.Wellington said:Frankman, what are you going to do with all your upcoming free time?
My German history is a little spotty but I'm pretty sure Franconia (the place the founders of Anaheim came from) was a Roman Catholic stronghold. The Frankman said:Even by the miraculous chance the Yanks make the playoffs I still have the Gaming Board to post on and will enjoy another Yakquis el foldo in the first round by the hands of the Los Angeles Angels Township of Anaheim Southern Baptist Province Down By The River.
Roman Catholic? Wow. Is there any religious imprint on the city left?Karakand said:My German history is a little spotty but I'm pretty sure Franconia (the place the founders of Anaheim came from) was a Roman Catholic stronghold.
edit: lulz, Franconia! Talk about synchronicity.
Karakand said:My only real asset as a player was that I could switch hit. That kept me around a lot longer than I should have been. :lol
At UCLA the recreation department organizes intramurals. When I lived on campus there'd occasionally be "unofficial" intramurals "organized" through the RAs and resident associations for each building that almost always turned nasty. (Flag football in name only FTW!)
