its too bad the Rockets dont' seem to realize they are a head coaching change away from really contending for a title. Once they get rid of him and replace him with someone who doesn't suck at coaching, they can go places. I mean, c'mon, just close your eyes and try and picture JVG hoisting the Larry O'Brien trophy. Its not even possible.

The difference between this series and that series is that we have a supporting cast that doesn't actually blow (except for alston). Battier gives us the intangibles.

And Alston got some steals, cut him a little slack ninja.

Nice win by my Bulls today. Shaq had a solid game, and D-wade got it going at times as well(thank god hes still not 100%). We're going to need big games out of Gordon and Deng every time out to win this series.. ****in Nets, I would've much rather just beat the Wizards by 30points four times.

Also Utah is a worse team than Dallas was.

Not by much though. Anyway, the intensity of this team is different, regardless of who they play.

But you do have a point though, Utah is very streaky, which is why they aren't as good.

They've certainly been worse lately.

I guess it doesn't really matter though. If the Rockets win this series they'll play Dallas again, so it'll be an interesting rematch.

Oh boy, I would love that matchup. I don't want this series to go 7 games if the Rockets win.

I want to see the rematch... badly.

Overall summary: T-mac stepped up, Yao great as always, role players gave the intangibles. Great lockdown defense. Crappy point: Rafer chucking 3s.

I've always defended JVG, but I still don't like the "offensive droughts" that come along with him.

Congrats to Shane on his first ever playoff win.

Didn't the Warriors sweep Dallas this year? :lol
I think Brandon is right though. I think GS is overhyped in the series (as much as I like them). Dallas brings it in the playoffs. I don't think the season series is an indicator AT ALL.

i wouldn't even want AK47. He's a nice player, and his defensive ablities would be greatly appreciated, but he's another one of those "jack of all trades/master of none" type of players and we already have one of those with Odom. Especially not for that contract. WTF were the Jazz smoking giving him the max.

I see the Heat are winning their playoff games. PEACE.
Well, we will soon enough. Good luck winning championships. ;) All I was saying is SVG is better than JVG. You Rocket fans don't know how to take a suggestion. PEACE.

That was one of the ugliest games in recent memory, and it looks like the series is going to stay that way.

I expected T-Mac to step up eventualy and he proved me right in the second half. It wasn't nearly as dominating a performance as his usual playoff games were he controls everything, but Yao sort of held the fort for a while and our defense kept us in it.

Yao didn't really have that good of a game offensively, though. He shot poorly from the field, even though he was getting his shots and there's no way anyone on the Jazz can check him. I guess his shot was just off, which bodes well for later if he starts getting things to go down.

Defense was the key. It was pretty darn consistent. Hayes actually pestered Boozer for a bit, and Yao was doing well on him also.

Deron Williams is a beast though. He smoked Alston too many times. Alston came up big with a few steals though.

I went to the Sabercats game (Arena football which wasn't half bad), but if the Magic made 70% of their free throws couldn't they have won that game? WTF are they doing shooting 18-36??

Two words. Dwight Howard.

Hack-a-Dwight is the new motto for the way Pistons will play defense in this series.
