At this point I'd rather see the Mavs suck like in the 90s than be the biggest chokers ever.

All right if thats how you guys feel. I personally don't think JO gives you guys a better chance but lets just agree to disagree. Any way let's see if the Warriors can close out the series. I personally think that this series is going at least 6 but the Warriors might prove me wrong. It really doesn't matter to me because the Bulls won and Im happy.

tnt is ****ing awesome

Lucky for me, my roommate just made some awesome cinnamon rolls. They're not Krisy Kremes, but they're delicious.

@ PhoenixDark

Hahaha, yeah...that was a bit PG-13. I didn't expect to see Kenny finger rape Chuckwagon's manhands.

"TNT: We know DIRRRRRTY"

How is Dirk a total choker when he nails back to back three pointers in the last 14 seconds of the game?
What I see when I'm watching the game's is a Mavs team that doesn't have a hope in matching up well with the Warriors style and a coach (Nellie) that is outcoaching his old assistant.

Hey Kobe, THIS is how you drag a team single handedly into the 2nd round.
You have the intelligence of a 5 year old. The Warriors 8 man rotation is by far better than Kobe, a semi-healthy Odom and some D-League players (Smush, Sasha, Cook etc)

Smush is insulted he didn't earn the F.

i'm pretty sure krispy kreme is on the east coast

You're right. TNT sucks.

From Wikipedia:

Krispy Kreme is a popular chain of doughnut stores. Its parent company is Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Inc. (NYSE: KKD), based in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, United States.

Krispy Kreme sells a variety of doughnuts, but it is most famous for its traditional glazed doughnut, often served warm. Stores have a neon sign that, when lit (usually morning and evening), tells customers that hot, fresh doughnuts are coming off the line at that moment. Select varieties of Krispy Kreme doughnuts are carried in many grocery stores, convenience stores, and gas stations. Krispy Kreme doughnuts can also be found in some larger Wal-Mart and Target stores in the United States, Wal-Mart,

However, one of their largest franchisees is from Souther California:

In January 2006, Krispy Kreme terminated the franchise license of Great Circle Family Foods LLC, alleging non-payment of required fees. At the time, they were one of the largest franchisees, operating 28 stores in Southern California. Preceding this action was a financial dispute by Great Circle, culminating in their September lawsuit filed against Krispy Kreme. The lawsuit was settled in July 2006 and led to the reinstatement of Great Circle's license.

even Dirk admitted he choked with that stupid fadeaway after the offensive rebound

god damn. the wait till football season is going to be so long. it's not like i have the rangers to look forward to

It's easy to hit shots when the game is all but decided.

Well...those shots were clutch. But it's hard to commend a guy for only showing up in the first quarter and the last minute of the 4th.

There was a better than 1% chance they would've won because of those late 3's.

So if the Mavs get eliminated and Dirk wins the MVP do they have the trophy presentation at Dirk's house?

David Stern will make sure Dirk doesn't win if the mavs get eliminated.

Moses Malone won the mvp and lost in the first round. I don't know what they did with him.

The Warriors didn't even try to defend those Dirk three's at the end. They just sort of stood there afraid to foul. Those looks are about as clean as you're going to get in the playoffs.

Dirk did miss a couple of three pointers earlier in the game that he should have hit, and as has been mentioned that fadeaway rubbish shot off the offensive rebound was pathetic.

They can do it at Golden State's first home game of the 2nd round. Nellie can present the trophy and give him a thank you hug.

Well, Nash almost won the MVP and lost in the first round last year. Fortunately for the Suns they were playing the Lakers and not a team with heart.

I thought the votes were made public or am I thinking of the NFL/MLB?

eh almost won? Am I reading that wrong, its 2 am.

Dirk was the season MVP, although you could make the argument that it belonged to Nash. But once again Dirk chokes when it matters: playoffs. He's a perennial failure every May. Real MVPs don't disappear when their team needs them, as he has done this series.

He is the new Peyton Manning, there's no way around it. Dalls has enough talent and youth to compeat for years, and I think Dirk will get a ring. But he won't get one until he's a bitter old man. Look for Josh Howard to carry Dirk's ass to the championship in 2012

yeah because josh howard really showed up in the 2nd half.

both dirk and howard are chokers.

Atleast they have made it out of the first round before....

*weeps*

:lol @ last seen fading away from Ryan Bowen

here's a good post from another mavs fan:

his team as constructed can't win a championship.

Weeknesses:
1. No true point guard or 2 guard. Both Terry and Harris are tweeners.

2. No offensive post presence

3. No backup power forward

4. Not much quality depth. Bench is Stack, Backup Center, and a little George.

5. No trade chips to bring in a star player. At this point you would have to trade Dirk to get a Garnett or J. O'Neal

I agree with all that.

He's not exactly a choker. Look at who he is losing to. Dwayne Wade had one of the best series in recent history. And Baron Davis is looking almost as good this year. He's losing to better players, but he is still one of the best in the NBA.

I still wouldn't mind seeing JO traded and Dirk seems like a good switch to me. These are two of the top 10 players in the league, though.

Avery needs to give him more isos

Warriors are just disrespecting him by having Baron guard and the top of the key

but see, why is he at the top of the key. no player can back down anybody from that spot. Why isn't he next to the paint on the low block? This offense is so stupid.

Obviously the Mavs getting to the Finals last year was the real fluke.

It fooled everybody into thinking they were capable of winning a championship.

You answered your own question. They should run it through Dirk on the low block. Force doubles, kick out to open men, put the game in Dirk's hands.

They're playing a modified version of Nelly Ball without the runners. It makes no sense. You don't need a world class point guard if you can give the ball to a 7 footer on the block every possession.

yep yep. the spurs would have destroyed the heat

I guess it's because Dirk blows on the low block. That's where JO might come in handy.

I agree with those points and i think the biggest problem is the first problem listed. When Jason Terry's shot is off he is rendered useless. He does not penetrate and create for others. Harris gets to the lane but most of the time he is looking for his own shot and not for his teammates. The problem is that if your point guard is not making plays for you then you have to look for other ways to get people their shots.I think this is why Avery puts Dirk at the top of the key so he can try to create his own shot or if he is doubled so that he can kick it out to open teammates. It worked last year during the playoffs but its not working this year so Avery needs to adjust.
