Dear Lord, I'm sorry for breaking that poor man's face. Amen.

Edit: What the shit!?! Albert just killed yet another Padre. Rough inning for everybody.

Woah, taking the high road. Like the SNY announcers are saying, the Mets probably could've used Wright getting beaned. But the Mets should come out pissed tomorrow either way.

They're going to lay down and get swept, unless Cox decides to start the B team, and even then I'm not so sure.

NY media is loving this, you couldn't script a better story.

Yeah, that's why I said "should", not "will".

So, the Indians have lost 5 in a row. Everything's great.

I don't know. :( Maybe his rant was so epic, he broke his keyboard's f, u, c, and k buttons, and had to go buy a new one.

And 2/3 from the Cubs. Cubs against the Pirates 8-1, cubs against the rest of the league, 20-18, pretty soon they wont get to play the Pirates anymore. :P

it has begun. the yanks are converting joba into a starter but i don't get it. with joba taking the #4 spot, and rasner apparently with the #5 spot now where does that leave hughes and kennedy? i don't imagine them sending both down. and obviously now the 8th is a huge hole.

Wow, A sweep!

Great pitching in 2 of the 3 games and some offense. Glad to see the young'uns forget about the horrible defensive weekend they had against the Anglos. Just need Furcal to take back SS because HU's is lost on offense.

A 25-year-old man who fell 150 feet from the fourth level at Turner Field Wednesday night, has died of his injuries at Grady Hospital..

According to officials, as Wednesday's Braves-Mets game was letting out, the unidentified man tried to slide down the handrail while coming down from the fourth level. He flipped off of the rail, falling 150 feet to the ground below.

Is it true Oswalt is missing his start? Because the Asstros misused him in his last game?

And I got that SI issue in the mail yesterday. I'm having that illustration framed, gonna be worth millions if they don't start sucking again.

wow...this is the best SI cover I've ever seen. :lol

Also, good GOD how I missed you, Kid Wonderful. Please continue to destroy baseballs as you unleash your holy wrath against the rest of MLB.

finally, the nomaas.org forums are a better Yankees forum than NYYFans.

On the bright side, the more Matsukaka's crappy stuff gets bailed out by good luck, the longer and harder his eventual regression could be.

Buster Olney reports in his blog for ESPN.com that Johan Santana’s velocity is down 3-4 miles per hour from a couple of years ago - according to some talent evaluators.

Olney further explains:

“He is short-arming the ball more than he has in the past — and this is after some red flags appeared in the physical examination he underwent before signing with the Mets. Sources say his shoulder showed some wear and tear, which is not unusual for a pitcher of Santana’s age. This is not to say Santana is not an effective pitcher now, but all of this information makes you wonder how effective he will remain during the course of his multi-year deal.”

heh
