What did Willie do? I ate a massive dinner tonight, and passed out afterwards. I just woke up. Get me up to speed!

He didn't do anything really (maybe left Perez in a bit too long), but his players are doing their best to get him fired. Reyes getting picked off on 2nd in the top of the 10th, with no outs was ridiculous. And then Torrealba makes an even dumber move, unless Hurdle had the hit and run on.

Joe Torre must be joking, Bring in Proctor just for Pujols?!?!?! I'm sure Beimel could have walked him just as easily. :lol :lol :lol

Who the hell is this douchebag Ryan Ludwick, and how is he, at age 29, one of the NL home run leaders a season after hitting 14 homers in 120 games? I thought the roids crackdown was supposed to eliminate shit like this.

So what's the magical number of losses in a row that will get Willie fired? I'm going with once they hit double-digits.

Honestly, I think if we don't win the next three series, Willie should start packing his bags. Vargas is pitching tomorrow, on 3 days rest, and we have no bullpen, doubt we win. Then we head back to NY, to play the Marlins, the crowd is going to be nasty. I expect fire Willie chants throughout the night.

M&MD had an interesting show today. Mike says he asked Hernandez last week if he would take the Mets job if offered, Hernandez said yes. At one point tonight iirc Hernandez called MLB managers a bunch of rocks. His remarks tonight, he made many, stuck out after the Francessa comments. Why would Mike mention a private conversation with Keith on the radio, really strange. Dog played it down, Keith enjoys his lifestyle and I tend to agree. I love Keith but don't want him managing this team, not in this environment.

Also, Willie reached out to the Wilpons but they didn't return his calls, that can't be good. Minaya running out to Colorado is another signal if you ask me. If Minaya fires him, where does he go? If the team doesn't start winning after the move, Minaya is on the hot seat next. Willie is a buffer zone for Minaya. As long as Willie is managing, all eyes are on him. If he's gone, all bets are off.

I love Bobby V, he's the only guy I want if a move is made. Bowa could be another option, but I'm not sure how his personality is going to mesh with some of the vets, including Wagner.

What a mess, these guys can't play for anyone with the way they're approaching the game.

I really can't see Hernandez taking the job. I can't believe he said he would. Also, I don't see Bobby V coming back either. I wouldn't mind Bowa -- especially since he's the one realistic option I can see at this point.

I also agree on your points about Minaya. I never thought about it that way. I've personally thought since the beginning of the season that if the Mets don't make the playoffs, they're both gone anyway.

Bobby V probably isn't an option at all, he wouldn't leave his team in the middle of a season, and the ship has probably sailed on Bobby V as far as the Wilpons are concerned. I still would love to see Bobby managing in the majors again.

Did you hear about Garry Carter calling Jay Horwitz to ask him if could call the Wilpons to throw his hat in the ring as a possible replacement? Horwitz told him to fuck off. Like moths to a flame, the sharks are circling. Poor Willie.

Jeez, I didn't hear about that. I definitely think he dug his own grave with those comments a week ago. It's never a good idea to use Isiah Thomas' coaching career with the Knicks as an example to try to defend yourself in ANY way.

haha, Volquez has 5 strikeouts after facing 5 hitters. this Hamilton Volquez trade is mind blowing.

EDIT: 6 strikeouts through 2 innings.
Guy has dominated all year long. 1.34 ERA, 41 hits (6.1 H/9) and has struck out 74 batters (11.1 K/9) in 60.1 innings. When people do manage to put it in play he has a almost 2:1 groundout/flyout ratio 75 groundouts, 38 flyouts.

Anyone else feel like Instant replay is something ESPN advertises over and over just to get an additional 2 million dollars in ad-revenue? Seriously gets annoying how many times they fucking show the need for it.

Man, I hope this rumor of getting Ryan Zimmerman is true. I'd give up our top farm arm for him.

WHAT, wtf is that from. Awesome if true, but we have shit for prospects outside of Joe Savery and Carrasco is just solid.

Dude, I lived in DC for 4 years, Zimmerman is a god down there, there is no way they can give him up, at 23, for Joe Savery, Carrasco, and our 2nd base prospect Adrian Cardenas.

I think if the mets get swept by the Rockies, or otherwise lose the series to the rockies Willie is a goner.

Why isn't Kershaw on Yahoo's player list. I've been trying to pick him up for over a week, but those bastards don't realize he is coming up.

Also, Werth to the 15 day dl. I'm going to cry, thats more I have to see of that bitch Shane Victorino because TJ Bohn isn't going to do shit.

Haven't been following baseball lately. Mets are struggling they lost to the shitty ass braves I see don't worry braves still fucking suck they won't go anywhere. Mets will find a way to get hot again.

Never change, Qwerty. :lol

Also, the problem with the Mets is that they clearly don't have enough latinos on the team. iViva los Mets!

Hey Eminem, how are you stomaching these White Sox games?

Win or lose, most of them are just low scoring, boring clusterfuck games. I tried to watch the Sox on WGN the other day and had to turn them off after two innings.
