fucking mariners. Is there any room left on the Doyers bandwagon? At least making fun of Andruw Jones and Juan Pierre seems funner than making fun of Richie Sexton and Adrian Beltre.

Well, see, the Cubs actually have the players with the talent and skill to make them a good team. The Cardinals and Astros especially don't.

They're not even the biggest deviations. Oakland and Chicago are allowing 3.62 and 3.71 runs per game respectively, which is top 2 in the majors and ridiculous when you think about it. For comparison, the world champion Red Sox of last year, lauded for their pitching, allowed 4.06 runs per game. Speaking of the Red Sox, their pitching has been notably worse than last year's. The Yankees offense has been a far cry from last year's numbers so far. The Indians have a crazy good pitching staff combined with an anemic offense.

This season has been pretty weird thus far. Not sure how much of this we *should've* seen coming, but hey, that's why we play the games I guess.

We only lost 2 nights ago due to it being B-G-O's "I'm a hack" night. I'll forever believe it!

But whats done is done...The Asstros aren't this good and will fade back into oblivion when fat elvis bat cools again.

Yeah right, the Mariners bullpen blew it and the Yankees still suck until they get good stuff from their starting pitching and a consistent offense. I'm more worried about the Rays improbable rise right now.

They are the Mariners yes, but 5 in a row is exactly what we needed after last weekend's debacle. Our schedule is also ridiculously soft until around the ASB, so we have a chance to really take advantage and get into the thick of things. Oh, and Posada will be joining us soon enough :)
 
5 in a row, and back to .500. Only 5 games out of first, too.

Yankees offense is starting to hum again, and we ran into some slumpbusters right when necessary.

Next up: Baltimore. IPK and Rasner's turn to keep it going. The offense has to keep it up too - and Posada coming back will definitely make that easier.
