Dodgers scored with RISP after going 0-26 WOOO!!

Edit: Wow did Torre pull the plug on Wade so damn fast. And Now somebody is on 3 with no one out.

Nice _efense retards!

^^^One thing Martin seems to be doing alot more this year is still throwing to 2nd even when there is clearly no chance of catching the runner. Seems to always end up in a bad throw too. =(

EDIT: Bah, Oh well. Looks like the Cards will sweep. Still a good day with how Kershaw pitched and Blowaiza DFA'd! Now the Doyers just need to DFA Pierre, Kent, Andrew and Colletti.

Yankees no longer in last, 3 back in the loss column behind Boston and 5 back overall.

After their 50th game last year, the Yankees were 21-29 and 14.5 games back in the AL East, and their best 2 players were actually playing the entire time up to that point!

In other words, the sky is not falling. This season is only getting started :)

So this is Carlos Quentin. Impressive.

Ugh. Dbacks gave him up based on a semi-bad year when he was injured. I would much rather have him than pay Eric Byrnes $10 million a year. :( Ah well, at least the Dbacks are in first place. :D Quentin is a great piece for the Sox, though.

Man I can't believe we have the best bullpen in baseball. Lidge being lights out and JC dominating for a 2nd straight year. Craziness! Also props to Chad Durbin, unfortunately his brother sucks. And can't forget Flash...he guts it out there everytime w/ his muffed up shoulder.

So yeah, the Mets continue to impress with their ability to stay away from home plate.

I needed to post something, since every other Mets fan has been MIA today.

You won't have the best bullpen for long. Smoltz, Soriano and Gonzalez will be coming back soon.

Yea, I'm not excited about Gonzalez coming back. Smoltz, meh...Bum.

Shit, missed Soriano. Yea, he whores us but that was last year.

It's bad enough you're in the 18th inning, then you gotta face Volquez.

You look back and say " Damn, if only pitcher X would have not X" I could be watching something else.

It sucks that Volquez is going to get a loss, hurting his Cy Young chances.

Except this year the Rays are actually playing baseball, the Orioles haven't hit a wall yet and the Jays pitching is nuts and the hitting also looks to be heating up......and thats with V Wells on the DL

just got back from the states and saw 3 games, sadly the mets/yanks game was rained off. Amazing again.. I wish I could go to every game. Got a cool badge from a guy at Shea too for answering his survey thing.

The Cardinals and Astros especially don't.

They're not even the biggest deviations. Oakland and Chicago are allowing 3.62 and 3.71 runs per game respectively, which is top 2 in the majors and ridiculous when you think about it.

The A's pitchers have a combined 3.43 FIP. Their 7.6 k/g and 3.0 bb/g are both tops in the league, and 0.7 hr/g is second (.1 worse than Chicago).

I'm not saying they'll keep up this pace (and runs per game will go up throughout baseball), but the A's pitching is some of the best and deepest in the league, and the only thing ridiculous about it is that they're paying 15 solid pitchers about as much as Andruw Jones is making.

Edit: And I'm not sure what makes the A's a bigger "deviation" than the Cardinals or Astros, they have the best run differential in the league (and your other biggest deviation the White Sox have the second best).

Wait, what? I meant deviations from what was expected from each team at the beginning of the season, not the deviation between their record and their actual performance.

All right the Rangers really need to take 2 out of 3 from the Rays and get over .500 for good.

wow I can't believe I'm saying this about the Rangers in may :lol

Oh, I see. Based on whose expectations?
Based on projections you're still wrong, it would be the Marlins by a huge margin, followed by the Astros.

Looks like Webb is gonna have a little extra time on his hands this afternoon. Maybe he chould go check out the Aquarium or the World of Coca-Cola?
