I'm genuinely surprised how horrible they look this year.
It's sad, because our starting pitchers are doing an excellent job, but our bullpen has been shaky, and our hitting is just terrible. Words can't describe how bad the Indians' approach at the plate has been.

They had better pull their heads out of their asses soon, or last year's surprise team is going to surprise everyone by missing the playoffs by 15 games, and last year's coach of the year is going to be unemployed.

It is sickening the way Cleveland teams get their fans' hopes again and again, then shatter them. Yeah, New York fans, you think you have problems? Try being a Cleveland fan.

This.

Our ace, current holder of the Cy Young, has an ERA below 2.0 over his past 6 starts. He's 1-3 in those games. It's only a matter of time before one of the starting pitchers goes off on the offense. I'm still waiting for Wedge to pinch hit Sabathia.

It doesn't really add up...Unless I felt like paying 14million more

ya digggggggg
Yeah, but when you say "he's better than any pitcher on the Mets" and then post something contrary to that, it's just retarded. Now "he's a better deal" on the other hand... :P

Lol.A. Dodgers.

Again we lose despite outhitting the other team. WTF is this shit?

Leaving 25 on base will do that. Thats how we were against the Nats for a few games. We actually left 30+ on base.

Tigers $138,685,197 - 4th Place

I just realized that the Mariners are teh WORST team in the league. No place to go from here but up :D
They wouldn't be so bad if they didn't have to get pounded by the Yankees! *high fives jman, joe, yankeeforever*

Alright Matt Stairs you've done me well, but I can't hold off on Jay Bruce anymore.

Carlos Quentin 2.0 happening right now.

That's a pretty cool chart, btw.

Mets are calling up Muniz from the minors. Heilman or Pelfrey probably being sent down. Get rid of Wise, 82mph fastball isn't going to cut it.

I pretty much always agree with you. I never got why people actually cared about Wise coming off the DL or whatever. He looked like shit in spring training. I know, I know, spring training doesn't mean anything -- but it does when your stuff is non-existent.

But he has a a great change!! I hate hearing about his change.

I feel bad for Pelfrey. He hasn't pitched great/good but if we played better D, he probably would've of faired a bit better in some of his outings. Our D finds ways to extend innings, and we always get burned.

Jay Bruce is being called up to play for the Reds tonight. I'll be interested to see how he does since he's supposed to be one of the top prospects.

Even though the Reds are sucking like usual and I wish Dusty was gone, as long as he doesn't ruin Cueto and Volquez this team has either a really good young core or a bunch of future Yankees on it, I think.

Not to mention he lost a game where he threw 6 no-hit innings. That is awful.

Anyone ever done it? My friends and I are thinking about doing it this Thursday when Dodgers play the Mets.

Is it popular @ Met games?

Anything I have to know about it? Specifically -- keep beer in red cups..etc.

Did it once way back, it used to be very popular back in the late 80s. Now I don't know.

also, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM MY STADIUMS.

Muniz threw hard and threw strikes. Pelfrey was going down anyway (Vargas looked too good) but I'll be pleasantly suprised if Stank Aaron goes down too. Shows Willie is finally giving up on the "he's almost there..." mantra w/ him.

I liked Wise w/ the Brewers, his problem is his changeup has been up all year and he doesn't seem to be throwing his curve as much. He's not this bad a pitcher.

Also, you read where Carlos Delgado cursed at Jon Heyman of SI yesterday?

hey baby.

My friends and I are celebrating my bday Thursday by going to a Mets-Dodgers game. I think we'll have roughly 24 seats in the UR section 5- rows O and P 1-12 if you want to say hi ;)

Coincedentally, there are 12 letters in SCOTT PROCTOR's name. We plan to have a little fun with that..

WTF?

Urge to go to Thursday's game with a bat rising...

Wise actually is going on the DL, so Heilman is staying on board. Supposedly Peterson came up with a "something" to help Heilman pitch better, and I guess sending him down would have been a good way to have him work on that "something."

I heard the Delgado comments yesterday, he's an ass. Reporters can be jerks/nuisances but they're doing their job for the most part. Heyman backed him into a corner with the question, but Delgado made it worse because now we know where he stands on the Willie front.

They had Heyman on the FAN earlier, Delgado actually got in his face after the reporters left his locker. Heyman chalked it up to frustrations and the like. He had some interesting comments on Reyes, maybe Rick Down had a bigger impact on him than most knew about. Reyes went to shit after Down left, Wright started scorching the ball. Referenced the fact that Reyes feels like Willie treats the other Latin players differently, he's harder on Reyes than he is on them (Reyes actually called him out on it in front of the team).

Awesome read, LJ11. I've give a proper reply later (leaving work). Did they ever bring up the status Jose Valentin? He's actually in Double or Triple A and I heard he may be back w/ the Mets within a week or two.

Yeah, they brought up Valentin and spoke about the relationship between the two. Honestly, they should find a spot for him on the staff. Sounds like he's a future manager and handles players really well.

They also brought up Henderson, and what a disaster that was. All he did was play cards, and borrow money from players which he has yet to repay. :lol Dumbest move Omar made.

Edit: Forgot to add, they also discussed the Reyes "nightlife" angle. Mets had people look into it, maybe they hired a PI to follow him or what not, but they came up with nothing. Clean as whistle, good kid, and he's not in danger of getting into any "trouble."

Josh Hamilton is getting fucked.

Because he's leading the league in HR, OPS, Slugging, and Hit by Pitch(hey, if they're going to count it) yet is ranked below JD Drew?

Nope, that'd be someone else.
