defense played well too. Still soft but we didn't get pushed around inside like last year's Finals. (Bynum + Pau growing balls are to thank for that). Big win for us. MERRY SEXMAS!

Nice to see the lakers grind it out and get the W but bynum and gasol have to get tougher under the basket, and wipe that silly look of of perkins face for good.

I don't celebrate x-mas but this was indeed awesome

Loved seeing the Celtics whining like bitches and fighting among themselves as they went down.

Trevor Ariza is the Jason Kidd of SFs. His stats do not even come close to showing his impact :D
Does that make Brian Cook the Devon Harris of SFs?

Somewhere, we can rest easy knowing that Trax's dead spirit is writing an epic long essay about how PF4 is better than Rubens Boumtje-Boumtje. RIP Trax.

:lol a 4-22 team being on national TV. This is worse than the Lions on Thanksgiving. Wizman23 you should be embarassed
if this were 2 years ago when you liked the wizards

You guys are funny. My name has nothing to do with the Wizards. I have a hard to spell last name that is Polish which is here Wiz comes from since no one can pronounce my last name correctly. Ive lived in Cleveland my entire life.

Seriously who scheduled this game for Christmas?

I bet they scheduled this game so they would have an excuse to suck off Lebron for 2 hours unimpeded.

That just makes the Houston Rockets 22 win streak THAT much more impressive. We beat the Lakers in our streak >.>

I remember that game like it was yesterday. Battiers defense was nuts. Hands literally milimeters from Kobes face on jumpshots. Rafer was shooting like there was no tomorrow. To bad he fell back to earth.

As far as the Lakers game...

:lol

Seriously Fisher and Pau were pissing me off so much. Fish mostly because he wasn't getting Kobe the ball and was taking some fucking horrible shots. And Pau because he was Kwame Brown 2.0 in that he'd get deep in the paint effortlessly and then miss. But my goodness did he fucking redeem himself out there tonight? Lost my voice as usual during these Celtic/Lakers matchups, and I damn near collapsed a bunch of shit in my living room with all the stomping and jumping around and throwing shit I did when Pau blocked Ray's shot. He definitely needs to be in that allstar game over someone like David West or Carlos Boozer.

Machine played pretty well tonight. Hustled hard out there...and actually played okay defense. His statline wasn't very impressive, but some positive things happened when he was in the game. Luke...pretty nice play tonight. Lamar... <3. These are the type of games where your like...fuck. We can't get rid of him :(.

I actually loved the refs tonight. Some shooting fouls weren't called, but I think the game favored us tonight. They were actually calling the numerous offensive fouls the Celtics get away with night in and out, and the refs calling a typical game almost always will give the Celtics bench an advantage, because most of their guys other than House are just pounders that rely on getting to the line with these pussy foul calls.

The Wizards should never have signed Gilbert. It's obvious he doesn't give a shit. It already came out that if the Wiz tried to "lowball him" (how that is even possible I have no idea) he would have gone to the Warriors instantly. The Jamison signing was so so, he's basically been a rock for this team and a guaranteed 20/10 player so you can't argue that. Defensively though I don't like him as my 4 in a playoff situation. Caron is underpaid despite him arguably being the face of that franchise.

It's too bad he has so many years on that deal, because he'd be a good fit at the 3 for a lot of teams. He's a bit injury prone, but he's been solid this season.

The Wizards don't want Gilbert to come back too soon like he did last season. He wanted to stay in Washington and made them re-sign Jamison.
I just don't get how this team won 30+ games without Gilbert last season and suck this season. Everyone from last season is still there except for Mason. This team obviously misses Haywood.

Starting Monday... NBATV is gonna have 24 hours straight of Lebron James.

Are you shitting me?

Why does Gilbert speak so highly of Young. Nick is a dunce.

He actually said something about Nick being a "Kobe Bryant" type of player :lol.

I still don't agree with the fact that he came back too soon last year anyway. He originally said he was on target for just before the all-star break, and waits all the way until the playoffs. Dude plays for just a few games and is out for another 6 months or so. Ridiculous. I have no faith at all that he'll be 100% when he returns.

Mason was a solid piece for the Wiz. A very consistent 3pt shooter in a team that likes to do nothing but...shoot jumpshots. The team has very little offense off of the bench now. Yes...Haywood was a huge piece. The Wiz are terrible at the 5 now. Thomas is Kwame Brown 2.0, and McGee is too inconsistent and raw.

The Wiz are just a bread and butter NBA team. They aren't with the times at all in terms of putting a winning product on the court. A shoot first PG, a jumpshooting SF, and a very solid PF isn't going to do anything in this league when you look at some of the explosive starting 5's put out there. The bench is also stupidly young and inconsistent.

Simply put, they don't give a shit about winning. The GM can't look at you with a straight face and say he's doing his best to put a championship team together. A couple of years ago maybe, but today his efforts are just sad.

why does a guy who hasn't won a ring get so much fucking attention??
They advertised it during the Cavs game. Starting Monday at 1ET, NBATV is gonna have the next 24 hours reserved to nothing but Lebron James, beginning by replaying his first NBA game.

I cannot imagine him getting even more coverage if he ever decides to go to NY. I honestly don't know how he could get any more media coverage.

FAN Night Tuesdays on NBA TV: 24 Hours of LeBron
December 30th is a special Fan Night presented by Nike.

In recognition of LeBron James' 24th birthday, NBA TV and NBA.com will feature "24 Hours of LeBron" -- a full day of around-the-clock LeBron-centric programming featuring games, highlights, classic performances and exclusive access to the Cavaliers' superstar.

All I saw of the LA Boston game was the 4th. Good game. LA made all the plays the last 3-4 minutes. I thought it would be a higher scoring game overall.

Magic center Dwight Howard, Grizzlies forward Rudy Gay and Knicks guard Nate Robinson will compete in the slam dunk championship Feb. 14 during the NBA All-Star weekend festivities in Phoenix.

Howard is the defending champion, beating Gerald Green last season in New Orleans in a competition that featured Howard wearing a Superman cape. Gay also was a participant in last year's contest, and Robinson was the 2006 champion.

Fans will pick the fourth competitor in an online vote, selecting one of three rookies: Bucks forward Joe Alexander, Trail Blazers forward Rudy Fernandez or Thunder guard Russell Westbrook.

The last time a player successfully defended his slam dunk title was in 2003, when Jason Richardson of the Golden State Warriors repeated as champion.
