oh shit lolz. apple stocks just nosedived after the conference, there below 10$

Apple stock takes a nosedive after every keynote. Easiest way to make quick cash, short apple stock the day of a keynote.

So, anyone have experience on what it would cost to add an iPhone to an already existing family plan?

Nevermind. It looks like it should just be an additional $20 for the iPhone data plan (plus extending the contract by 2 years of course).

Next move....Sprint.

What will they price the Instinct at?

What will they do for current customers to get them to stay?

I am definitely going to jump ship if they don't play ball.

Ok so how much is the unlimited 3G data plan going to cost?
As of right now you don't pay extra for 3G.

Don't know if they plan on charging extra for the iPhone. Their coverage is spotty outside of cities anyways so I don't know how useful it will be traveling.

$199 iPhone? Hmmm, that makes me actually consider it. Is this the only big announcement coming from this conference? Sorry haven't read the whole thing.

Is the app store coming out before the new phone? and no mms support either huh :(

swirlymms kinda sucks

edit: no video recording either? come on apple!

Same boat here. I'm also curious about the google andriod os phones.

What an amazing price when you compare it to the launch prices last year!

Additionally, Apple's competitors are going to have to step up their game. Who'll want to buy a Motorola Rzor for $179 now? Or a Venus? Or anything else!

I'll feel like a real boob buying another phone with less capabilities than the iPhone for that price.

All I know is that, I'm not buying another one if I have to continually renew my contract. I'm just 9 months into a new 2 year that I had to sign because I wanted an iPhone. I hate contracts. Unless they give me a break and don't make me sign a new one its no 3G for me.

I'm also somewhat disappointed in the lack of the 3G-iPhone camera upgrades. But whatever...

I heard rumors that Apple was going to announce a new Macbook sometime in June. Are there any more events coming up anytime soon? If I'm going to buy a Macbook for school in the fall, should I just buy one now?

I'd totally wait. Unless you're wanting one now, there's a chance there will be a performance upgrade at least by then.

It sounds like the Apps will need Fw 2.0 (July 15 release date).

They won't. But you are only 9 months in, so you will only really be extending your contract by 9 month. That isn't so bad is it? Better than being a year in to another provider's contract like I am right now.

Think about that you just said.

boo, that sucks. oh well. hopefully with the sdk apps will be a lot more stable. a lot of the must haves on installer (including isolitaire and swirly) crash too damn frequently for my taste.

it's likely that they're clearing out stock of the MB and MBP with the Back to School promotion and will have new models later on. but, you get a free iPod Touch if you order now...

Well, you wanted to be the early adopter of the iPhone.

That's your fault.

For those 9 months, that was probably worth it. At least you thought it was.

Oh absolutely. Totally worth it. I just know that I'll be in the same boat this time next year with the next upgrade. So I guess I'm just going to sit out this upgrade since there's no 3G where I'm at anyway. So that's my problem with it. If you went with every upgrade you'd be in a super huge contract. Maybe I'm mistaken, but wouldn't it just tack on every time? So if I had 15 months left it would be 15+24 months if I signed a new one?

Apple have got all the regional press releases but no prices in any of them other than US.

>_<

We gonna get raped ripped off.

I bet when they said "$199 global price" they end up just crossing out the $ and writing £ for the UK like they always do.

I would still buy one at £199, though. I think the little things that are missing (MMS, shit camera, video, video calling etc.) are all outweighed by Apple's genius UI design and the features. Their operating system is a million miles ahead of Windows Mobile, Symbian and UIQ. And this is coming from a UIQ fanboy! :D

Just looks like we have to wait for O2 to drop the bombshell.

I'm pretty sure when you upgrade it just extends it to 24 months from the upgrade date.
