So this is the thread for all the BEST videos of Electronic Entertainment Expo 2006. By BEST, I mean links to videos that, for example, that give us the best look we can possibly gather of the game's mechanics as it stands at this point or of its hopeful future (in the case of trailers).

The thread will be updated as people give good suggestions as to which videos should be included.

Requirements of all videos
1. A link to the video or a link to a place for free download of the video
2. A short description of what exactly the video shows
3. Is the video direct feed or off camera?

I was going to make a similar thread, but it was going to say:

What are the must-see videos for each platform in your opinion? Try to keep it to few per system (3 to 5 videos sounds enough), and no need to include the obivious ones (press conferences, MGS3, Mario, Halo 3, etc).

The best we have been able to confirm is that he did the music for the trailer to my knowledge. the Website, in my opinion, does NOT confirm that he is doing the whole game. If someone can prove that though, that would be interesting. Anyway, this should be stickied soon so I will update regularly as soon as it is
 
Does Metal Gear Solid 4 count? Or does it had to include gameplay? 15 minutes is kind of short, you have to understand that Kojima did not have any time left for gameplay...

I call too much spoilerific content. Even though that actionscene with Raiden at the end of the trailer was all kinds of awesomeness, I still thought I got spoilered through that entire scene. Now when it shows up in the actual game, I wont be surprised anymore.
 
Wow, that gameplay footage of SMG was probably the best I've seen up 'till now. It's my first encounter with the Spider boss. I definatly have to retract my previous statement about the game that the Wiimote functions feel tacked on. It's implementation in the game is really good and clearly adds to the overall experience. I'm sold on the game now.

Oh shit! God Hand looks awesome too! You can clearly see the influence from the DMC guy (forgot his name, shame on me) in that game. Love the humorous twists and the over the top but still feasable combat.
 
Also, off-topic, PH - is there anyone that's played it that will tell me if the controls are good or not?

Because seriously, it's pretty stupid of them to make Zelda move exclusively with the touch screen, when they could easily have given standard movement with the d-pad.
 
Lair (- Official trailer - PS3 - ): A kickass video involving dragons! Slaying dragons, dragons killing humans, humans riding dragons etc. If its CG, its just a really impressive video with lotsa great action, if it is realtime, WOW - F5 win E3. Its Factor 5 and thats why its so confusing (that and Lair already looked incredible realtime).

It's not really a news, but it's still a very nice thing to see for ourselves. Snoopers went to a presentation of Heavenly Sword, and filmed this part showing Andy Serkis (well known for playing Gollum and also King Kong) during a motion capture shooting for the game, and then its usage in a realtime cutscene.

Snoopers managed the impossible and just sent me this first ever (afaik) gameplay video of Motorstorm. Good job! His first impressions are that the game is very pretty but also very empty. It's also far from looking as good as last year's trailer. Enjoy the video.

the gametrailers one is very nice quality and fairly hi-res (compared to the spider boss footage). it's almost 8 minutes long, shows lots of different planets (plus the blue 'star bubbles') and has the sotc-like robot boss at the end.

I'm resisting checking out the TP demo ...I've seen the conference videos but I don't want to spoilt the game for me. Is it just a demo or will it be in the final product?

The BIG reason I don't watch certian trailers. Hell I have only seen two Twilight Princess trailers: the first one and the bit of the demo from the conference. If I were a Metal Gear fan I would impose a personal media blackout on all things MGS4 except for the release date.
 
just wanted to pimp the Heavenly Sword/Serkis video I recommended. It shows you another side to that game that's not just the fighting chick . The metal/gold shader on the king is outstanding... and then when they pan the camera and you realise its all in engine. its a total wow moment

The facial expressiosn/lip synching rocks as they motion captured that too instead of trying to keyframe it.
 
My God... the Lost Planet trailer made me start wishing Metroid looked like that. Would be un-fucking-believable. Graphical style fits perfectly.

It's gonna be in the final product, so you should stay away.

I must say I admire your dedication--there is an -awesome- boss fight at the end using a cool technique I wish I had discovered on my own

Exactly why I'm avoiding it! :) I have avoided so much coverage of this game it isn't even funny
