official buy/trade/sell thread

Quick question:

If someone in the states sends me a package that's COD (Cash On Delivery) and it's about $200 will I have to pay duties on that? I'm about to buy a HUGE Dreamcast/Saturn bundle and we agreed to do COD, I just don't want to be paying 200$ + broker fees/ duties etc.

isn't COD rather expensive to do internationally?

sure.
you can't really get around duties on larger/expensive parcels. as when you mark the value down shipping insurance will only cover that marked down value. and with COD the $$ amount should be printed on it regardless, so nothing you can do.

but at usd200 duties wont be that much anyways... so eh

Hehe just curious, what about a smaller package with the value of ~50$ and marked as a gift but with a COD value of 300$ is that at all possible?

i've never done COD before, so no idea. but i'd think there will be a big fat "$300 COD" printed on it...
if it doesn't it might slip trough depending on how strict the customs are in your country. (i assume you live somewhere in europe)

Leaving positive feedback for Kadey; I received the 60GB PS3 package on Tuesday, and it was in nigh-mint condition with everything in the box and packed up perfectly. Got a pretty good price, too. :)

i got an excellent condition PSP-2000 with CFW 3.55?m33 (something like that i dont remember) with a 4 gig memory card for 200 shipped. will also include the gta liberty cities DOWNGRADER for the psp-1000.

I was out game shopping today, and came across a couple games that I already had, but I assume other GAFfers would be interested in. As I'm currently working on picking up some older PSOne & SNES games, as well as considering a Sega CD, I mostly am looking to trade these.

First, I found a copy of Bust A Groove for the PSOne. It is complete. The booket is in very nice condition, the disc has some hairline scuffs on it, but looks to be in good condition as well. The case is sort of scuffed, but as it's just a regular ol' jewel box, that's easy to fix!

The other thing I found was a copy of ICO. The booklet looks to be in good condition. The disc looked great! Again the outside of the case was kind of scuffed, but it looked like the artwork inside was in tact.

In both cases, the game store I bought them from often resurfaces their games. I cannot guarantee if they were or weren't, so I will just state that up front. I can get pictures upon request. PM me if you want to try to work something out. Thanks!
