Eidos makes a contract killing at the top of the All Formats Top 40 as Hitman: Blood Money takes out the boss FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 to give the British publisher their 2nd All Formats No1 game so far this year. Hitman: Blood Money hits all its marks, making No1 on every format Xbox 360, PS2, PC and Xbox.
Eidos chalk up 4 games in the top half of the chart with price promotion on Lara Croft: Legend pushing sales up 37% (although down from No4 to No5), while Championship Manager 2006 is still playing in the top flight despite losing 4 places from No5 to No9 and fellow UK developed title Urban Chaos: Riot Response makes a charge towards the Top 10 with a strong 2nd week of release (up from No18 to No11). Football finds itself on the substitutes bench as both FIFA World Cup Germany 2006 and Pro Evolution Soccer 5 drop one place, down to No2 and No3 respectively. However, there is a place for a new sport in the All Formats Chart as Rockstar Games Presents Table Tennis for Xbox 360 hits No4 on its first serve. The Xbox 360 Chart has 2 new releases at the top with Hitman: Blood Money at No1 followed by Table Tennis at No2. Sales from these 2 titles account for more than the rest of the Xbox 360 Top 20 combined. Film tie-ins perform well with the release of the 3rd X-men film powering sales of X-men: The Official Game up 65% (although stays at No6), while The Da Vinci Code breaks into the Top 10 up 4 places from No12 to No8 (sales up 67% on last week). Nintendos Super Princess Peach bolsters the Japanese giants DS catalogue before the launch of the new Lite console on June 23rd, debuting at No29, while Microsofts critically acclaimed Rise of Nations: Rise of Legends for PC just makes the Top 40 at No37.
