Wee!

I think I just heard Mrs. Juice say "Boo-yah Hilldawg". Means he had a decisive win in the only state she had a chance of being close.

The American people are so simple minded, that I think they can actually choose someone because he makes pretty speeches, and is charismatic.

Unfortunately, this is not what the country needs during these times.

CRITICAL BONUS POINTS: Take your position to its logical conclusion. What does the country need during these times, and how does (as your post imply) Obama only make "pretty speeches" but not "substantive policy statements"?

I can tell you I'm choosing him PARTLY because of his issues, and PARTLY because of his supremely presidential behaviour and orating skills, and because I believe in his idea of unity across party lines.

So if you specifically think that we all support the man because he speaks a little like Martin Luther King, please elaborate.

THANKS

Need an amir0x bat signal for when these naysayers step into the fray.

Chuck Todd: Basically, McCain having it locked up == all independents vote in Democratic, all vote for Obama.

Moderate white men FTW

Broad generalizations for the win! Obama is bigger than his speeches, and there is a brain behind that charisma. You might not agree with his policies, but it seems like you are the one who is being a little bit simple minded about this. Just because he doesn't go into great detail about his policies in his speeches doesn't mean that he doesn't have a plan.

So basically the GOP screws itself twice over. Once by nominating McCain and then by giving support to Obama.

Everyone talks about uniting party lines.
People have forgotten but George Bush even used the same rhetoric in 2000.
Just sayin'.

Eh, I dunno, I think no matter what, the GOP just doesn't want a Clinton. Sure they'd prefer to defeat her themselves, but just not even letting her hit the nomination is just as good.

Just compare the Clinton/McCain numbers to the Obama/McCain numbers. It's a 10 point shift in favor of Obama.

The truth is, most GOP voters realize they're losing this cycle. They also know they'll want to drown in their own vomit if they have to watch Hillary Clinton every day on TV for four years. I don't know a single conservative who's not at least a little impressed by Obama, and I don't believe that a single conservative exists who would rather Hilldawg was president than he (other than Rush & Hannity, who would see a huge ratings bump during another Clinton term).

If the exit polls are right, Obama just got 60% of the vote and will cruise to another 20 point victory.
