CNN predicting McCain will win Virginia. In my opinion Huckabee now needs to retire from this.

That way more Republicans can vote for Obama. :)
Your unique donor avatar is growing at an alarming rate.

Interesting. So tell me what makes any one of the candidates more a 'leader' than the other?

He wants a leader that makes decisions that cause thousands of lives.

Voting for the war in Iraq being afraid to take a stand against it is not the sign of a leader. Going with the flow is cowardly.

Anyway enough squabbling I'll bask in the glory of Obamaton :D

Who hires the guy who managed the campaign that Obama beat? The only time Obama has ever run for office too.

Well, the logical argument is, short of getting former Obama staffers (unlikely) the guys that faced Obama before would know how the opponent is likely to operate, what things to take advantage of, what mistakes he's liable to make, etc... but obviously it didn't work out.

There's so much concentrated joy and win in this thread right now (and a dash of bitter tears).

I'd love to see what GAF is like the day Obama wins the nomination.
Hopefully we have gifs.

Ok, as I suspected. Thanks for trying but uh in the future when you're going to shoot off the latest Hillary talking points, please be sure to know what the fuck you're talking about so that you don't look foolish.

Thanks in advance!

Funny, because what prompted me to post was the foolish blind Hillary hatred and people falling for pretty speeches. Foolishness once again is a matter of opinion, I guess.

So going through the lovely DC traffic this evening, I was listing to the local NPR station's round table discussion. One of the reporters was calling in from a Hillary "party" that had exactly two attendees. Her and another reporter from the post.

It sounded like a pretty hoppin' party though. Supposedly there was a cash bar, and they'd even fire up the CD player every once and a while.

OMENTUM, baby,

I wonder what's taking DC polls so long to report. I know there was no exit polling, but that doesn't have anything to do with actual reporting right? O_o

Sharp said:
Huh, Huckabee is only 2% behind McCain. They must be really confident in the exit polls.

Almost all of the (smaller) counties that Huckabee won are nearly done counting. The McCain counties are more densely populated and still have more to count. His count should go up.

Obama inching back up close to a 30 point spread- 64.14-34.70, 70% reporting

Wooo! Time for Todd Talk on delegate numbers!

Pointing out that even if the Florida and Michigan delegates are seated, then Clinton won't have the lead before Superdelegates. That's heartening.

ok i know it's really difficult to remember back 10 pages, but you called Americans simple minded for "falling for his oratory skills." When I proceeded to take apart your argument by substantively detailing the various policy decisions that he has and why I prefer them, your response is always "Hillary has similar policies." (If they're so similar, the preference comes down to... vague leadership skills which you can't even define?) Then YOU go to the vague bullshit about how Hillary will have greater foreign policies/international support, but can't even support it with any evidence whatsoever.

So far, I'm the only one of us two who has detailed any fucking real defense of their preferred candidate.

I guess all Hillary supporters are wooed by her sexy cookie making skills and veiled dismissal of half the countries electorate.

So I just got a call from the city leader for Ron Paul. They are having a dinner for all of the Ron Paul precinct leaders tomorrow night and she would like me to attend. Should I? I mean really, this is Kentucky, where we don't vote until May... :lol

Chances of this Hillary speech actually conceding any of these races?

She should do the right thing and concede the whole thing. She needs landslides in Texas, Ohio, PA, and some help. Unlikely.

Do it! I actually got some tail from a Ron Paul volunteer get-together:P

Yeah, but this chick did not sound like someone I was going to want to get with, and at this point I really question turn out, especially of the hot chick variety.

If I'm a Hillary supporter right now, the thing I'm most concerned about is how many bridges Clinton is burning by doing so much to dismiss all but 7 of the biggest states in America.

When the general election ramps up, a Clinton nominee would be smeared with all of her sound bytes that come across as "X state is insignificant" "Y doesn't really matter" , etc. etc.

Chuck Todd just said Clinton's going to have to win 60% of the remaining pledged delegates to overtake Obama if he wins more delegates on Feb. 19th. :D

Essentially, it's just about over for Clinton unless super delegates save her (and consequently hand the election to McCain by default). With Obama churning out win after win, she's not going to secure the utter demolition jobs she would need in the remaining primaries to overhaul what will be a very nice lead in pledged delegates after tonight.

Yup. And the funny thing is that despite her spin about Obama winning red states the dems won't win in November...she's staking out in Texas

Every state she has lost since Super Tuesday has a very proud African American Community is what she'll say. :lol

Oh and it isn't just Caucuses that don't matter. Primaries don't matter either.

This starting to look over.
That could actually happen, though. I mean, if she wins big in Texas, Ohio and PA, which is still possible, that could happen! But tonight, let's just bask in 2:1 VA.

She's speaking in Texas in a few minutes, too. Hope she says just that wearing a cowboy hat.

If ever there was an appropriate time to make a YTMND.
