Good performance so far. Its basically game over as long as we dont get complacent. Bolton dont stand a chance. There best chance of scoring will come from set pieces, so we've got to keep the defending tight. There have been a couple of occasions where Davies has got his head on the end of a few crosses and he could have easily scored, so that needs to be improved for the second half.

After park missed that first chance and neville got injured I thought that this wouldnt be our day, but park has got two goals and jhe's been playing well along eith everyone else. Everyone has done well. Ronaldo has been incredible. He's assisted all three goals. The second goal was amazing. We got it from our box to theirs with 3 passes within 10 seconds.

Very impressive so far. Kuzszcak is dodgy though, particularly on crosses, when is Van Der Sar back?
I was just going to mention that. He's a ****ing good shot stopper, but he's not good when it comnes to crosses; he doesnt have the same composure as van der sar. Its the worst game for van der sar to be injured in because we need a good goalie who can cope with crosses.

Im not sure whn he will be back.

Bolton are dreadful... unbelievable, they're playing like a bottom of the league team, how on earth are they 5th? 3-0 now.
They're 5th because everyone under them has been losing along with them.

Good to see Alan Smith back on...it'd be a laugh riot if he scored a goal.

Well, good enough I guess...Roon bagging his second. Man U 8, Bolton 0. :lol

Its nice to see smith get an assist.

And I must have forgotten the rule about penalties giving teams a penalty out of sympathy.

Rooooooney AND Ronaldooooooo!!
When both are in good form, we are unstoppable :)

Park did well and deserved 2 goals. He was hardworking and pressing hard on the defenders. Giggs seems playing well too. But Richardson and Kuszczak... unless they improve quickly, I don't think they should be in our first team....

But still a bit worry about Gary's injury. We don't have any backup players for our back four now (Evra is on the bench today. I think he will be ok soon).

the Rob Hulse injury is horrific from what they said on the radio btw. His foot turned over 180 degrees and it looked like it dislocated from his leg. At least I know not to watch the Chelsea game in MOTD now.

Michael Richards is out as well. Pogatetz broke is ankle in the same game.

I hate these kind of injuries.

4-1 ..... *cries* Im so happy yet sad I missed the game...Have to wait for the review show or highlights in a bit. Neville was hurt you say?

So we need 18 points from our next 8 games to seal the deal?

I've been pretty unimpressed with Kuszczak, hopefully next year he's the one out on loan with Foster on the squad.

Richardson.... well to be honest I don't understand ( I remember it just seems like an alternate demension) how he was being considered for the England squad last summer.

Yes, unless Chelsea can compensate the 18-goal difference gap.

I rather want Foster stays in another PL club for another year, to build up his confidence, though it means we have to use Kuszczak as sub for another year.

Dammit, I feel like we've done enough to be up in this game, but no breakthrough yet.
You guys have had so many near goals... I wonder what Pedersen would look like in the red of Manchester..... ;)

Sigh, no point complaining, it was a penalty and an incredibly stupid one. I was a bit concerned with how we were playign after we went a goal up anyway, but I felt we were strong enough defensively to hold on.

Then Emerton goes and does that.

*seethes*

That ball did NOT cross the line. I could see that on a shitty live feed from a poorer angle.

Now what would be the best way to kill a linesman...

I know, I'll tie him upside down and fill a headsized sack with glass bottles. I'll then smash the glass up inside, place the bag over his head and tie it round his neck, then gently massage the glass into his head, increasing the pressure until his eyes burst and the sack is red.

thanks to Mama I started betting on football again.

I put 3 pounds on a Blackburn homewin, based on statistics.

Thanks very much is all I can say.

We try so hard to lose, we were even defending for blackburn and clearing the ball of the line but the linesman just wouldn't have it and gave the goal anyway. Eventually our journey to the top of the bottom of the premiership had to hit a snag.

That's hard to take.

A draw would have been fair, we had a half each. I would have been annoyed at Emerton for conceding such a stupid penalty, but that reflected the balance of play. To lose like that though...

Sorry hadareud, you should have backed Arsenal midweek, better odds there too.

This week's bets are heading to a loss anyway. Even if Liverpool win away to Villa tomorrow, I'd be £1.40 down. Not exactly disastrous from £100, but still down.

Of course, this test is going on for multiple weeks and I'd expect to lose out sometimes even if the stats work, it may just be one of those weeks. And if I was doing this in reality, part of the way through matches I think I'm going to lose on I'd have layed generous odds on a comeback for someone and would at least reduce my loss and probably make a profit overall, given how close things are.

Incidentally, if I'd bet on the games this week that had over 60% chance of a winner rather 50%, I'd have 4 out of 5 right, and £16 profit on £50 outlay.

Quick question to anyone who watched the Man U game. Who played upfront with Rooney? since aparantly Smith was a sub.

Started out as Rooney and Giggs.

Also Valencia lost 2-0 at home, bad for them, if they can't qualify for champs league football, I suspect David Villa will be choose to leave next summer.

Awesome game by the red's today.. Park Ji Sung played his best game I've seen all season!

Oh boy Cristiano is gonna be one of the greatest.. he just keeps improving!

I'm betting 3 pounds per game now, but I was too late for this week. So I only bet on the outstanding games starting with Blackburn. If Arsenal and Liverpool win, with a draw at Villa - Newcastle I will still make a few quid just on this 4 games (around 7 pounds).

The plan is to eventually get 100 pounds on my account and then bet a tenner per game, and another 10 combined. If I can do that with an original investment of 30 pounds I will be very happy.

The combined one is the one I am hoping for. Of course it won't happen too often (if ever) that I get all the games right, but if I do - I will be 1000 to 2000 pounds richer in one go. Out of 38 weeks, if I could maybe do that once it would be amazing.

Let's see how it goes. Betting age has started.

I hadn't considered the combined thing, that's interesting. I might do it occasionally, when the fixture list happens to throw up enough games that I feel confident in. Especially as I can do it across divisions and countries, sometimes it's got to be worth it.

...oh why am I doing this, I get addicted to watching episodes of TV shows, this better not go wrong.

The ball does seem to do something weird like accelerate off the ground when it bounced...but I still don't think Foster was standing in the right place for a normal bounce.

Weird game for him, I've seen two **** ups and two absolutely superb saves. Still think he's the best English goalkeeper, this experience will probably help if anything.

both West Ham goals were an absolute joke. That was never a penalty and the second goal is not even worth talking about. I want my 3 pounds back!

After their rotten season they probably deserved a bit of luck though.

The best bit of luck was I forgot to put my bet on blackburn! horay!

Not at our expense :(

The penalty looked less like one when not in such low res, but I'm still not certain. It was very wet and Tevez was turning sharply, so it wouldn't take much contact to bring him down.

Fake multiple for tomorrow:

Villa v Liverpool
Charlton v Newcastle
Everton v Arsenal
West Brom v Birmingham
Bremen v Mainz
AC Milan v Atalanta
Ascoli v Inter
Real Madrid v Gimnastic

£10 stake, 122.3 odds, £1212.30 potential win

I'll be pissed off if I fake win that much :lol It's really unlikely though.

As someone said, Giggs played the supporting striker role. I think Alan Smith came in for Ronaldo, but I'm not 100% sure.

Serious question here...is this the worst season of officiating ever seen in the English top flight?

Difficult to say, since there's always a tendency to view recent events worse than they really are, while we're forgetting what happened in the past.

But I do think that it's getting worse, there's been so many game deciding mistakes this season. There's hardly a game that goes by without them it seems. Why is that, can the refs not keep up with the increasing pace of the game?

One thing's for sure, the cry for video evidence and change of rules will get louder. Maybe so loud that the governing bodies can't ignore it anymore.
