The best rumour is about sheva's wife saying that milan is their sity. For **** sakes make up your mind! First you say that you want to go to england and now you want to go back to italy.

Awww I'll be so pissed if Tevez ends up at Chelsea, less so than Liverpool but more sending him off to some European team I never have to watch. Drogba & Tevez would most likely be an epic partnership though.

Good news on our 60,000 seater stadium at West Ham Tube station though. That area is such a dump right now.

drogba and tevez would be an unbelievable partnership. If chelsea do get tevez, then they'll have 3 excellent strikers that can be partnered with each other. Next season I expoect sheva to be much better; I think its been tough for him with all the expectation and the change in lifestyle. It took drogba two seasons to get this good, so it could be the same for sheva, but i think we're going to see big improvements from him next season.

I think the game tonight could actually top the FA Cup final boredom.

I am expecting a shitty game with no goals until at least extra time.

Both teams will be super cagey i think, it's hard to judge liverpool because they are a totally different team in Europe, and parts of their first team haven't played for 2 weeks. I dont know if they have the fight in them to win it again after the epic achievement 2 years ago, Milan will want it more no question, it will come down to how the two teams react to the pressure (or lack thereof in Liverpools case).

I think I want Liverpool to win just because of the injustice of Milan winning in the season they shouldn't even be in the competition.

Infact i hope they somehow get cheated out of the title by a really dodgy refereeing decision. That would be great.

The TFC trades are getting a little annoying. I haven't been bothered to memorize who's on this team cause Mo's either releasing or trading players every week. It'd be something if these moves were moving us closer to a MLS Cup, but why kid ourselves...we'll be life or death to even make the playoffs regardless.

Did I say how much I loved Scousers?

I'm not happy with the American turn this thread has taken, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you all to leave.

They're already taking over your league...might as well take over the thread as well.

"I am young and ambitious," said Kaboul. "I want to play for another club. But my eyes aren't bigger than my belly, I don't want to join too big a club."

:lol :lol :lol I almost feel sorry for Spurs fans...

I forgot to mention that I ran into some DC United fans on Saturday at the bar after the game (don't know if they were part of the "Screaming Eagles" contingent or not), and they seemed just fine to me despite the hilarious abuse they were taking from the TFC horde. One of 'em was this incredibly cute blonde that was with her boyfriend, and they both loved the crazy atmosphere.

Oh, BTW...:lol :lol :lol @ Wembley. How in the **** can an 800 million pound stadium not be in proper shape to host a Champions League final? Just ridiculous.

Of course this clears the way for Emirates to host the final in the future, which Arsenal is on record in saying they'd love to do at some point.

I dont believe those rumours about wembly. They've spent so much money on it; how can it not host a CL final? I dont get why it cant host a CL final anyway. What could possibly be wrong with it?

Unless you could put something in there to stop her from talking

I doubt there's anything wrong with it. Sounds made up to me.

If there is something missing, it can only be a very minor detail. The stadium in Vienna is a UEFA 5 star stadium for instance, meaning they can host European finals and so on - the stadium and the facilities are nowhere near what Wembley has, or the Emirates for that matter.

I think it's just attention grabbing to be honest, especially after the "800 million and they can't do a decent pitch, haha" populist crap that's been going on since Saturday.

That has to be rubbish how it can't host a UEFA CL final. The pitch was obviously rushed for the FA Cup Final, so I guess all this crap has spurned from that.

The press will take the smallest things and make them sound huge. I dont know hoe serious the pitch problems are at wembly; during the fa cup final the pitch did get teared up quite a bit, but I think thats just a minor problem that can be fixed. Other than that, what else can be wrong?

Well...it's true!

And yeah, I'm not sure how Wembley couldn't be good enough for the CL final. But honestly, would anyone be surprised if it wasn't?

I don't think there's much wrong with the pitch, it just takes a few games to really grow in. Arsenal are renowned for having the best pitch in the Premiership, but even there it took a few months and a few games before the pitch really worked in the Emirates.

Also, from what I could see they didn't water it at all or not enough, not before the game and not in half time either. That makes it slow and it gets rough quicker.

:lol
I know what you mean, but I'd be a little surprised - because I don't think the UEFA regulations are that special.

I' going to try and predict a team for tonight

------------------------Reina------------------

-----Finnan------agger-------carra-------------Riise

----Pennant------Mascherano-----Alonso---kewell

--------------------Gerrard------------------------

---------------------Kuyt--------------------------

I would. After all that time and money they spent on it, you expect a perfect stadium. If it isnt good enough for a CL final, then it would be a disaster. It means that the stadium isnt top class andf that could have an effect on our chances of hosting the world cup.

According to Sky Sports News, Tottenham have agreed a fee for Gareth Bale from Southampton.
Interesting if true. Im not too annoyed because I think our left back options are fine as long as we can keep heinze, but I wonder if he would have the ability to play on the left wing.

That means that our possible targets for the left wing would be perdersen and nani. Those are the ones that have been linked with us anyway.

I think you'll get Nani now. He was rumoured to have signed a new contract but apparently thats rubbish, and you've stepped up talks with him.

Nani would be good. i imagine he's similar to ronaldo, so it could take him time to adjust to the EPL, but he'll get a lot of help from ronaldo.

i studied in Liverpool and i can`t Echo this statement enough (hidden shit joke in there, but hey)

Some lovely looking ladies, but damn... the accent...

then again, i`m from the far north so i sound like something out of Byker Grove... or at least i did back then.

I used to work in a call centre where I got calls from female travel agents from Liverpool and Hull. I can't decide which accent I liked less. They also have a habit of screaming in your ear in a very high pitched manner, I guess that comes with their job though.

The northern accent is quite bad, but its not worse than the scouser accent. We've got family friends that are from liverpool and their son has got a really strong scouser accent and what makes it worse is that he speaks so quickly. So whenever you speak to him, you just nod and smile to everything he says because you've got no ****ing clue what he's saying. Although this is pretty much the same with every scouser you meet.

The scouser accent is by far the worst. Id say the manc accent is nearly as bad; not because you cant understand what they say, but it sounds so annoying. I lived there for over 8 years, so I used to sound like that. I never realised how annoying it was until I left manchester.

Go Liverpool. I should be supporting AC Milan because I'd like to see them drub Liverpool but it might not happen. Plus Kewell may be a starter for Liverpool, gotta support the Aussies (even though his entire Liverpool playing career has been shithouse).

I quite like the scouse accent, on women. Not on men. When that blonde bird from the sugababes talks she becomes much more attractive to me. Different strokes...

Distin's transfer seems...unambitious to me. I'm sure he could have played for a bigger club if he'd held out. This'll just fuel the Campbell to Newcastle rumours now.

Bale is using his head I see, knows he has plenty of his career left to join a bigger club if Spurs don't improve, meantime he gets definite Premier League (and European) experience at a high level.

Jol is finally building a really good team, though they're not quite there yet. Assuming they keep hold of Berbatov, it should be something like this:

-------------------Robinson

Chimbonda----King----Kaboul-----Bale

Lennon--------Jenas---Zokora---(Kewell)

--------------Berbatov--Keane

Left wing is definitely the next slot they have to fill. I know they want Pedersen, but I think Kewell's much more likely, as he's actually highly likely to be available.

If there's any money left after that, that central midfield isn't good enough to compete with the top 4. I'd say both players need replacing, doesn't really matter which one is first.

And if they still have money left, I think Robinson's a liability. Though I don't think Spurs feel that way, so that's probably not gonna change.

Unfortunately it looks like zenden will be starting again

I just thought, they should try and buy Sissoko now he's competing with Mascherano and Lucas. They'd face some really stiff competition, but if they could get him then that midfield suddenly looks far stronger.

I hope Liverpool don't play 5 in midfield today, as Milan are bound to. It'll be so crowded in there, I just want a good game.

come on Mama, predict Liverpool's team for tonight. It would be quite funny if you got it right for the final game this season ...

Well if there's one thing you can say about liverpool it's that we sure have put on some great finals over the last 5/6 years

Gerrard will be playing forward most likely, so it'll be essentially 5-man midfield. We won 4-1 against Arsenal with this formation.

edit: That was a bit mean.

To change the subject for a minute...how did Ben Foster AND Scott Carson get above Robert Green in the England pecking order? Foster actually cost Watford a few points at the end of the Season and Carson did the same for Charlton, meanwhile Green has been pretty much flawless and kept has kept...6 (?) clean sheets in the last 10 games.

The funniest thing about the Van Persie rumour is that it reckons Bayern are offering £8m for him! hahaha try twice that, minimum.

My prediction is exactly the same as Lakitu's:

---------------------Reina

Finnan---Carragher-----Agger-------Riise

Pennant---Alonso---Mascherano---Zenden

--------------------Gerrard

---------------------Kuyt

That is, assuming everyone's fit. If Zenden's not, then Kewell there.

ac milan - liverpool: 2 - 0

liverpool is probably going to play all defensive and bring the entertainment value down to zero.
