The Game is going to be amazing. Even with all these online features in the game, there is still the HOME aspect of it all. I could only imagine what HOME can offer. All I can do is play the hell out of the demo and wait til GT P comes out..then play the hell out of that demo and wait til the full GT 5 comes out. If GT5 isnt enough to demonstrate the power of what the ps3 is capable, then I dont know what is.

Turn 10 take some notes
After the abortion that was forza 1 multiplayer (no adjustable settings basicly) forza 2 did a huge improvement, while gt5 looks to have amazing features... it's not out for a while yet :P

New Kaz interview, he gives some ideas of what they might do with GT5 and PSP connectivity.

... so that example probably not being the best application of the PSP, have you considered any other kind of PSP interactivity with the PS3 and GT5?

Well, one example would be for people to utilize replays of their race experience. Take that outside the home, whereas at home you would need the PS3, but they can take that away and share. Another would be – and we would need to do further research, we're just talking ideals here – but it would be nice if we were able to allow people to compete whether they're on the road or in their living room on the PS3, compete in the same race. Even though the visual qualities will be different depending on which hardware they're on it would be nice if we could allow for that. Technically, we think we should be able to. Or another would be – a feature we had on GT4 B-spec – which is basically you're the race manager. You don't even need to steer the controller, you just set the car and let it go; you're managing it. Another example would be the PSP would be your management tool: give it input and give it instructions and the car would continue on with the race.

Holy shite! Kaz is a monster in that Lancer. Download the Evolution video, you will not regret it. This guy is as hardcore a car guy as I've ever seen. My GOD.

Yes it's 16 players online.
Awesome. Sorry, haven't really been keeping up with GT5 news for a while. Is the 16 players online for Prologue or GT5? If it's just for GT5, does Prologue have online racing?

Edit: Gamespot in with the answer already, thanks! (Although I think they mean '15 other players on line)

GTTV needs to list the file sizes for these videos. Not just for the dload, but so I can set some sort of limit to the number of videos I keep on my HDD. I don't know how big these things are. I don't really care right now, since I have lots of space left, but this will be a concern in the future. PEACE.

qft

I only have the Evo X video downloaded at the moment and the file size of the demo has doubled from 736MB to 1426MB. So that video alone is 690MB big.

Well, the only other two tracks in the demo are Daytona and Fuji...

Press X in the menu and you'll get a random footage of a race at Daytona or Fuji...or some the photo mode locations. Just keep going back to the menu until you get the Daytona video...it's real time, so press select to change cameras and you can change cars as well.

screw realism -- playing bumper cars is fun (offline, anyway). i've picked out the best spots to force opponents off the road or spin them out. though sometimes they'll bump you back :(

I agree....wish I could do it more in real life

The license plate editing sounds cool but is it going to be possible to do custom paint jobs too?

That would be insane.

Yep, that powerpoint slide lists Livery editor as well...

Guys, this is a screenshot of the Evo X review posted in GT TV. Kaz drives the new Evo around a track and parking lot and discusses the technology of the new car with engineers from Mitsubishi. He drives both a masked silver Evo and the red one pictured.
It took like four hours to download the video today...

Scary that we couldn't tell though, isn't it!

Poor thing, now you have to spend hours on uploading it to YouTube for us who aren't yet blessed with a PS3. :P

BTW, how did he fair on the track?

I had a idea today about user-generated content in GT5:

Experienced GT gamers should be able to upload tutorial texts about settings for a specific car... For example: if I want to adjust the camber angle in my GTR, but I don't know what the best setting is, I could download a tutorial from a trusty user and, in the camber angle setting screen, the text created by that user would show up.

I seem to remember Kaz talking about this very thing in an old interview and that he'd like people to learn about how cars work through GT.

Is there a way to share that video over YouTube? :(

Anyone else just hug the left wall and fly right past that crazy curve with the stacks of tires?

Works every time!

:lol

There's a thing I have wanted to be added to GT for some time now.

It would be neat if dust, sand and grass got attached to the tries so they would have to be driven clean.

A penalty which should make up for cutting corners just like in real life. ^.^

quick question--

Is there any SIXAXIS tilt functionality in this demo?

If so, how do you turn it on?

I just read that in GTHD at least...when you put the controller down, the game knows and gets rid of the onscreen menu...pretty cool. Otherwise, no, not for gameplay

Interesting, it might work very nicely and not be incredibly hard to implement either (unless you wanted to really simulate the amount of sand and grass that sticks to the tires, .. blah ... blah ;)).

Hmm...

In cockpit view, the steering wheel of the GT-R doesn't cast a shadow on the dashboard & dials. Only the hands of the driver have a shadow.

edit: Same for the Mazda.

Yeah I noticed that one one of the cars too. But for me the most noticeably incomplete part of the cockpit views are the side mirrors. Obviously a work in progress there.

900+ cars
GT TV
A very very comprehensive online feature
1080p@60fps
Interior views
Home integration

this project is more ambitous than NASAs plan to go to send human to Mars.

PD PULL THIS ONE OFF WITHOUT DELAYS!!!!

That's too ambitious even for PD.

900 cars? That's bullshit, right?

I thought GT4 had like 200 cars?

I think he meant too ambitious for a set release date, but I may be wrong...

PD can delay this shit all they want, and knowing their past, I'm sure they will. :lol
