wha, wha. All I know is in the first Lakers/Clippers game, Lakers had 46 FTA and Clips had 21. Whats up with that!!!!
Edit: Does Wade get more calls than Kobe? Based on last years stats..
Wade: 803 FTA last year. Basically .57 FT's for every shot attempt. 7% of shot attempts were 3 pointers (which was only 76 out 1413 FGA).
Kobe: 819 FTA last year. basically .38 FT's for every shot attempt. 24% of shots were 3-pointers (which was a 518 of 2173 FGA ).
You guys can analyze these numbers how you may. I basically get from this is Kobe shoots alot of outside shots, and but still gets plenty of calls and gets to the free throw line. Wade does not shoot alot from the outside, and is known as a drive to the rim guy. The way these guys styles play out is, I think for the most part, Wade is going to get more free throws than Kobe, just because Kobe is always shooting from the outside.
Are the calls Wade is getting super lame? Some of them, yea. But people get in the groove when they see one bad call, they think every call from then on out is a bad call. I've seen Lebron and Kobe get some really bad phantom calls, especially when Kobe screams all super loud when he goes to the rim or something.
Just to compare to other players (last year's stats)
Ray Allen .23 FT's per FGA. 46% of his shots are 3's.
Dirk: .38 FT's per FGA. 17% of shots are 3's.
Rip: .22 FT's per FGA. 9% of shots are 3's.
Plus in foul differential this year, Lakers are on top of Miami

So overall, Lakers are getting alot of calls. Remember that Rockets/lakers overtime game? Lakers had 32 FTA and Rockets had 11. That is weird too.
Just based on Wade and Kobe, Wade is getting about 2 more FT's a game this year than Kobe. So basically an extra foul is being called for Wade (or he is driving more times that Kobe, if you want to look at it that way).
