But I'll take a 6 point loss to the best record team over a loss to an extremely undermanned team anyday.

Let's compare the Lakers and Hornets main rotation from last night..

but they don't need Lamar to beat lower ended teams, and you've seen that from them

Good to see.
jobber said:Miami will trade some bench players and maybe Walker for JO'Neal or Gasol :\
AK47 is a few games away from being on the block too
Also Maggette is still up for trade.
pheeniks said:Is this a homer accusation?
ryutaro's mama said:I don't even know what that means.
My point is that guys like Cerrius are usually the most vocal on the boards when the Heat win, i.e. Christmas Day but on days like today, he is completely silent.
I find it amusing.

pheeniks said:A homer is someone who supports the home team while listening to no reason from outsiders. Everybody here would call me a total homer if I said "WADE GOTZ DA BEST 3 PT SHOT IN THE NBA MY MAN JUST WUZNT FEELIN IT THERE"
ryutaro's mama said:I know what a homer is.
I was just unclear as to what you meant by homer accusations.
pheeniks said:I'll take Brent's awesome three point shot, you guys can keep Beno.

Call For Defense
Jan 21 - Kevin O'Connor (Utah Jazz) isn't promising a deal, just that he will be making a lot of telephone calls.
"We will be active," he said. "Whether that turns into something, I don't know."
The Los Angeles Clippers' Corey Maggette and Toronto's Mo Peterson are available, according to numerous league sources. But both players are known more for their offense than their defense.
If O'Connor trades for a perimeter defender, the primary bait would likely be veterans Gordan Giricek, Jarron Collins or Rafael Araujo and his expiring $2.4 million contract. -- Salt Lake Tribune
Jan 21 - Unhappy with Beno Udrih, the Spurs are on the prowl for a more dependable two-way, pass-and-shoot point guard.
Meanwhile, when approached by the Clips a couple weeks ago concerning a possible swap of Udrih and Brent Barry for Corey Maggette, the Spurs astonishingly rejected the notion. You figure it out! "They're only interested in players with expiring contracts," offers a rival executive. -- New York Post
Informed sources near the Indiana Pacers situation suggest that Jermaine O'Neal may be a lot closer to being dealt than even he will admit. A few weeks ago, O'Neal announced that if he could not get the Pacers turned around, maybe it was time for him to go.
SALT LAKE CITY -- Utah Jazz owner Larry Miller said Andrei Kirilenko, his highest-paid player, is "putting himself on thin ice" with inconsistent play and complaints about his role on the team.

He put up NBA2K7 numbers in last night's game. He missed a 3 at the buzzer which would've sent the game into double OT.

bionic77 said:Wade with another phantom injury in a big game that mysteriously disappears after a few minutes?
I don't even see players with real injures act like Wade. Even when Grant Hill breaks his ankle every year he doesn't grimace and limp around as much as Wade.
Oh well, that is enough hate for now. But this bothers me much more than the FTs. It isn't like other players complain when they get bullshit calls.
ianswoody said:Truth on that, wood. Hate Wade, but the injury was legit. I'm just sick of the announcers making us aware of it everytime he touches the ball.
Either way, a win is a win. Now the Suns need to lose. I'm sick of them being #1 on the Hollinger Power Rankings on ESPN. I know they mean nothing, but it's still annoying when we've beat them twice already.
ryutaro's mama said:Another game where guys like Cerrius post, regardless of the outcome.

Cerrius said:and pheeniks: You only support the Heat because of Wade, get the hell out of here bandwagoner!
pheeniks said:Next time you play some pickup ball and land on someone's ankle awkwardly, you're not allowed to grimace or want to stop playing for a second.
I don't even see what's the big deal with him "acting" when the injury's not serious, like actually tearing a ligament. There's got to be better reasons to hate? I hate Raja Bell more than most players because he is a Grade-A douchebag, he tries to act all tough and all he can show for it is a clothesline on a player and he can't do shit but shoot threes from Nash passes.
BTW, you don't get to see Grant Hill grimace a lot because in the past he was rarely on the court to begin with.
Cerrius said:STFU.
I don't make it a priority to huddle around my computer and post on GAF after every Heat game. No way I waste a lovely Sunday afternoon in Miami shooting down Laker trolls in this thread.
Anyways...
