It's too bad that lineup (minus Nash) isn't the freaking dunk contest, cause I'd actually be excited then

Just add Amare and Marion and give Nash their points. He gets credit for EVERYTHING else they do :lol

Sixers 41
Rockets 70

In the 3rd quarter? Dayum, what an ass-kicking. But the Rox will let them back in the game in the 4th.

Rox would have won by 50 if they'd kept the starters in. Our level of play is just so consistent of late that it's amazing, we play hard against great teams and when we play at the same level against shitty teams we just blow them out of the water.

That said the extended looks we've been getting at the rookies have been telling; for all the hype Novak and Spanoulis got in the preseason they've both been terrible so far.

Novak just gets raped on the defensive end and seems to miss more often then not from the 3 point line. I'm guessing he gets nervous because the crowd always holds their breath in anticipation when he has the ball.

Spanoulis is a turnover machine. You can see the flashes of brilliance in how easily he gets to the basket, but he takes bad shots once he's there or makes risky passes. He definitely needs to learn to finish better around the basket and adjust to the quality of NBA shot blockers. I won't rag on him for his shooting because he's never really been a shooter.

I agree, but one point should be mentioned. If JVG has to play one of these scrubs, he should play V-span over JL3. JL3 is a ball hog and makes terrible decisions.

JL3 vs. the Suns was hilarious. He was chucking up 3s from the parking lot. Just because T-Mac isn't playing, doesn't mean you replace him!

Precisely. Actually, the Rockets could have won that game had JL3 not chucked that 3 pointer with 2 mins to go.

That shot by vince was just downright ridiculous. Vince has been playing on another level these last 4 games.

Can you blame him?

SORRY VINCE: Carter was edged out by Gilbert Arenas to start for the East team in the All-Star Game. But hours after the announcement was made, Carter acted as if he thought he had made it.

"I'm thrilled," Carter said. "It's always a great feeling to be selected as an All-Star and as a starter, so I'm happy."

Huh? Vince, you didn't make it.

"Hey, whatever," said Carter, who's been selected to start six times and has made the team seven times. "It's still an honor to be involved with it."

Carter still has a chance to be named to the team, along with Kidd, when coaches announce reserves next week.

Not gonna argue there. Although at this point JLIII is "less damaging" on the court, Kill Bill should definitey play more just because his tremendous upside potential is through the roof.

Id love for KG to end the streak so SportsCenter will get off the suns nuts

Yeah, but they've still won 357 games out of the last 359 games for the first time since the Showtime Lakers played 400 games against the 2007 Boston Celtics, and they're leading the West by like a Million games.

Oh wait...

Woo, the game last night was fun :D

Van Gundy on the play of Rockets in the 1st 3 quarters in putting the 76ers away... said:
"We're just trying to concentrate on playing good basketball with a good level of physical and mental energy and I thought they did a good job of that tonight. I thought we started a little shaky in the 3rd quarter with turnovers, but they gathered themselves and played very, very sound in the 3rd quarter with the lead. And the 4th quarter is totally unacceptable, obviously, and that's why I never want to hear somebody else tell me they want to play more."

:lol

Spanoulis nailed to the bench for the rest of the season

See, this is why I hope the Rockets let Jeff go. With him reuniting with Herb Williams and him constantly preaching D to guys like Channing Frye and Eddy Curry, The VanMan + Knicks coach = Playoffs.

BTW T-23 hours 59 minutes. 'till Lakers-Knicks.

:lol why would they let Jeff go?

There was that whole "pissed off" thing where Rockets management and Van Gundy where somewhat at odds last year. I was hoping Houston tanks and the owners spazz out like McGrady's back.

T-23 hours 46 minutes 'till Lakers-Knicks.

That is such bullshit. No way he did that on purpose. He was just trying to get a call. I hope he appeals it. We can beat Boston w/o him not the Knicks...

amazing how much the league is against kobe these days. as a laker fan, this has got me a little worried going into the playoffs. thankfully, lebron and wade play in the east so i doubt there will be too much favoritism against the lakers through most of the playoffs.

come on stern, make a shaq vs kobe finals happen, the ratings would go through the roof.

Thank god he was suspended...That was a lowball tactic and he knew exactly what the **** he was doing! **** koME....

goodnight
